SMILINGMAN Posted July 28, 2019 Report Posted July 28, 2019 (edited) Classic Kamado from 1970s showing Mt. Fuji and the number 4. Edited July 28, 2019 by SMILINGMAN Could not find a way to add comment with picture when uploaded.
SMILINGMAN Posted July 28, 2019 Author Report Posted July 28, 2019 I purchased my Kamado Grill/Ceramic Oven about 1975 from a store in Baton Rouge, LA. It is marked with No. 4 and the image of Volcano Mount Fuji as can be seen in the picture of a portion of the dome.
Pequod Posted July 29, 2019 Report Posted July 29, 2019 I recall seeing pictures of an Imperial Kamado (I think it was) with No. 5 on it. I think it also had Mt Fuji, but not sure. Is this an Imperial Kamado? Impressive grill regardless.
Tucker Posted July 30, 2019 Report Posted July 30, 2019 Do you have a picture showing the entire cooker?

No. 4 is on the lid but is this a size or model? 4
MacKenzie Posted July 30, 2019 Report Posted July 30, 2019 Are you still using it? It looks fantastic.

That’s definitely an Imperial Kamado. Here’s a link I found with a picture of a No. 5. https://www.kamadoguru.com/topic/9603-newly-acquired-kamado-no-5/
