  1. Did you hear about the fire down at Texas A&M university last night? Burned down the library. A total loss. Burned up both books. And the real tragedy was only one had been colored in!
  2. MacKenzie - when I first saw the pics of the ribs on the KK, I was shocked … I thought you had stolen Beauty! Don't you just love that color pebble? What great pics of a delicious cook! And I love the money shot at the end. Wonderful cook. Kudos to ya! PS - I love the peas in that shot. Peas are about my favorite veggie.

  9. Nice rolls, Rick! Those look as if they were made to go with a nice med rare NY Strip, potato, and salad. As for the mill scraps, the thing that always concerned me about mill scrs was what they had been treated with or painted with.

  11. MacKenzie - that chiminea works very well at taking the chill off during the evenings. Unfortunately, up where you live, I think I'd be a bit overmatched! Here's to staying warm!
  12. Josephine - is this ham already cure/cooked and you're just reheating or are you cooking from the get go?
  13. Here are a few pics of my chiminea. I"ll generally take the cook off Beauty! or TheBeast and let it rest. Then I come back put and grab a few lit lumps of FOGO and put them in the chiminea and got back in. By the time dinner is over and the dishes done, here's what greets me .... Its wonderful to sit down at the end of the day, stare into a fire, relax with a nice after dinner drink, and breath in life. Hard to beat that, isn't it?
  14. Tony - you are so very right! I got this fire a bit too hot, but at the end of the cook, the bacon was wonderful!

  18. The whole thing is just gorgeous! I'm not much of a stainless steel fan, but I think I'm about to change my mind after seeing bosco's setup.
