  1. Haha, I’ve been BBQ’ing for 20+ years now and have always been intrigued by KK. I’ve been using Green Eggs for 10+ years and really like the Kamado style of BBQ and did not want to leave it.... but I wanted more, as well as more space. The BGE’s will be sold. I contemplated going to the 32, but after seeing the 42 in person and how easy it is to do a whole hog, it sealed the deal. I wanted more space and it’s on the way. Thank you, I’m looking forward to the arrival. I will document it well. If anyone else is on Instagram, I am the same user name on there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Thank you! I’m in the U.S. (Midwest) so it shouldn’t be too long as there was one in stock. I will post pics for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Well after days of deliberating on color, I finally ordered the SBB42.... in matte black pebble. I want to thank everyone on here who gave advice. Don’t hate me if you were rooting for cobalt blue pebble! Lol. Now the wait for delivery. Oh, I did order a blue cover though lol. And yes, the alcohol does work..... in moderation.
  4. I have read that as well and appreciate the info. The owner of the SBB42 I saw yesterday in matte black pebble also waxes it.
  5. It’s mentioned by several owners on here. I’ve done the research but am not going to put people on the spot and screenshot their posts etc. I was also told to use a soft rag and to treat it like a back car as it shows everything, and not wipe it with a dry rag. 6. We had a massive storm come through last night which made sure I was awake in the early hours. I’m so torn on color but know I would be happy with either. After seeing the matte black yesterday I am in love though. I rubbed my hands all over it like it was a genie bottle! The stainless and black just screams BBQ to me and goes with any setting (we will probably move in the near future). On the other hand, the cobalt blue will look great by the pool, but we may not have a pool at the next place (but we probably will, or a lake... maybe both). But I don’t want to try to match at the same time. Reading several posts about how easy the cobalt blue scratches and the extra maintenance needed has me worried. I will clean my grill but I don’t want to have to treat the finish like a Ferrari either. I’m so torn.... I’m sure I would be happy with either but really fell for the matte black yesterday. 7. I’m stuck on color. Matte black pebble vs cobalt blue pebble. From what I’m hearing cobalt blue scratches easy and requires more maintenance. I’m very impressed with the matte black pebble and the color also screams traditional bbq to me and looks great against the stainless steel. Family likes the cobalt though and it will look great by the pool. What to do, what to do....[emoji2373] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. After seeing the 42 rotisserie cradle yesterday, there is no doubt in my mind the larger motor is needed. It is massive! Extremely impressive steel artwork. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Saw the SBB42 today in black matte pebbles and it’s gorgeous. I’m seriously torn. I hope I sleep tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I think the matte black pebble screams “BBQ”, very traditional color for BBQ since the majority of smokers etc are black. The cobalt blue is gorgeous as well from what I can tell from various online pics. The extra maintenance involved to make sure it’s not scratched etc worries me a bit. I do love the close up pics of the cobalt blue pebble. I don’t think I can go wrong with either color. It will be close to my pool so maybe the blue will complement it will (but we may also move in the near future and black goes with everything). I may just flip a coin...... 11. Congrats! That matte black pebble is growing on me. I’m going to look at an SBB42 matte black pebble tomorrow. Dennis contacted the owner so I could take a before purchasing. I’m stuck on that or cobalt blue pebble. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. LOL on #3. That was my thread and I asked to have it deleted because I felt like it was going to come back and bite me. Congrats! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I know this isn’t the correct thread but didn’t see a need to start a new one over this, but Is there anyway that the search word length could be shortened to two or three letters for things like “42” or “SBB”? That would be great since I’m trying to research extensively. Wish people with 42’s would list 42SBB, but have only found a post or two. Just a suggestion.
  14. Thanks Dennis. You have an email waiting for you as well. I know you are replying to this at 4:30am in Bali! Yikes. I appreciate the response. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Hello, Do I need the bigger motor ($170) for the rotisserie cradle on the SBB42 or will the smaller $70 motor work?
  16. I have a question about your 42 if you don't mind answering; Thank you in advance. How hard is it to move that 42 around on surfaces that are mostly flat, but some with a slight incline (pool concrete for us)? Any info would be appreciated. -Steve
