  1. Would like to hear from Firemonkey, mguerra, LarryR, Slu, etc.
  2. I hope howardjoyce jumps on this tip right away.
  3. Are there Serial #'s to identify each KK ? If so, see if Dennis can give you the number. Then if it is yours, just match the #.
  4. Of the four Rubs, which ones did you like a lot ? How was Plowboys on ribs ? Like I said in another post, I like it on chicken. Nice looking cook.
  5. CC, sorry about your break up. Gee thanks ! Call me a SUCKER ! I just ordered some more Rubs including Cimarron Doc's Sweet Rub. I also ordered Simply Marvelous Sweet Rub as well as 3Eyzs. I have to stop this. I also have been making my own as well.
  6. Plowboys is one of my favorite on chicken. Another rub that is also my favorite is Slap Yo Daddy. I am interested in the Cimaron Doc's Rub. I too have lots of Rubs and not enough space. You might want to check out Simply Marvelous Rubs as well. Then again, enjoy what you have for now. I would hate to see anyone of us on that Hoarder Show with all the Rubs we collect. How many here have ordered Rubs that you already had but didn't know ? I can.
  7. How do I know it is done ?
  8. Costco has Pork Belly, sliced and whole. Other than making bacon, how else can it be cooked/ grilled ? Thanks.
  9. Interesting idea. How about, instead of the salt use a Rub along with the Baking Powder? Would that work as well ?
  10. A big Happy Birthday to you Dennis !
  11. Siracha Sauce would be great if used for the Hot Sauce. That would make it really fiery.
  12. Thank you so much for sharing these Recipes. I will put them to good use and give each one a try.
  13. I put this out because they have KJ Charcoal at the Road Shows. (2) 22LB Bags for $29.00. I picked up 8 bags.
  14. No, I didn't make these yet. I saw it on Facebook and thought I would share. Looks good after some good BBQ. 16. I didn't make the cake yet. It came from the Splendid Table. I do plan on making it, hopefully this week end.
  17. One question I do have, instead of using a 9" Cake Pan, can a Cast Iron Pan be used ? I take it the cake can be cooked in the KK either way.
  18. I get Emails from the Splendid Table and this is one recipe I am wanting to try. I have a "bucket list" of recipes I want to try and this is one of them. Upside Down Cherry Cake by Robyn Lea Share2597Share11Share247 Robyn Lea Cherry recipes were a favorite in the Pollock family, and Stella had multiple ways to use the wonderful fruit, including two versions of cherry pie, maraschino cherries, and this deep red Upside Down Cherry Cake. Remarkably easy to prepare, but with a stunning final effect, this cake provides an impressive grand finale to any dinner party. For the Cherries 2 cups unsweetened pitted cherries in syrup (canned or jarred, or use homemade) 1/2 cup sugar 1 1/2 Tbsp cornstarch 1/4 tsp salt For the Batter 2 Tbsp butter 1 cup sugar 1 egg, beaten 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 2 tsp baking powder 1 cup milk 1/4 tsp salt Preheat oven to 325°F. To make the cherry syrup: In a saucepan, drain juice from cherries and add enough water to make 1 cup of liquid; add sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring, to thicken the cornstarch and cook out its flavor. Butter a 9‑inch round cake pan and cover the bottom with a layer of cherries. Pour syrup over cherries. (Photo: Robyn Lea) To make the batter: In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar; add beaten egg and vanilla extract. Sift together the flour and baking powder into the creamed mixture, add milk and salt, and mix thoroughly. Pour batter over cherries and bake about 50 minutes. Invert onto a platter and serve, either hot or cold, drizzled with cream. From Dinner With Jackson Pollock by Robyn Lea, Assouline 2015.
  19. I like that marinade you used for the ribs. I like it better than Yoshida's.
  20. Congrats on the new KK. I think it's 23". Enjoy the journey.
  21. How do you take off the grill with the Pizza Stone when it is at 500 ? I see disaster on my end. Another question, with the dough very elastic, how do you form the pizza dough ? I spread to out with my fingers and then picked it up and tried to spread it more and it became thin in the middle. Forming the Pizza Dough is definitely a work in progress. Thanks.
  22. Screef, Good G-d ! I am impressed with all the pics of dinner AND dessert. I would be very interested in the recipe for the Upside Down Cake. My family would love it. My wife isn't to keen on Upside-Down Pineapple Cake. Thank you.
