BlueRidgeBBQGuy
What's the best fan-type controller for the KK?
wrandyr
I use a Fireboard 2 Pro with thermocouple probes and a BBQ Guru Pit Viper fan. It has worked well for me. I like the large display that can be read from a distance. The the BBQ Guru fans are the only ones that fit the KK's fan port, as far as I am aware. My main gripe is that the on-unit control buttons are both hard to see and feel.

I have the same setup and dont like the buttons either so once i turn it on i just do everything from the app And now they have the wireless probes, I have one on order, cant wait to try that out !!!!! jdbower
I like the FireBoard, and I have their stock fan but I modified their mount to incorporate a ThermoWorks Universal Mount
5698k
I have a flame boss 500, but i also use the guru fan. The temperature control is solid, and the app has no glitches. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
jonj
I’m in the ThermoWorks ecosystem for probes so I use Signals and the Billows fan. Have had no problems with it. I have a set of the wireless probes on order, which integrate in the ThermoWorks app with Signals and Billows fan control.
Cheesehead_Griller
I also have a Fireboard 2 Pro and a Pit Viper Fan. Works flawless. Once I get the new Fireboard Pulse, it will be almost wire free except for the Fan to the Fireboard 2 Pro. I HATE wires.
Tucker
I use the BBQ GURU DigiQ, wired probes and fan. This has been my setup for years. It has proven to be dependable.

The clear silicone adhesive I tried first failed, but the light grey construction adhesive seems to be holding up ok. It makes the button more visible, too. 1
