DennisLinkletter Posted August 26 Report Posted August 26 Please throw that clip away; it is unnecessary. The thermometer won't fall out of the grill. It is used to hold the lip of a pot. 1 1
tony b Posted August 26 Report Posted August 26 I shed mine ages ago! It was a total PITA to deal with when removing the thermometer after cooks during winter weather. 1
Cheesehead_Griller Posted August 28 Report Posted August 28 @DennisLinkletter Did I see/read that the new KK's have a stainless threaded insert for the thermometer now?
David Chang Posted August 29 Report Posted August 29 i use the clip on the dome because it serves even less purpose in the drawer.. 1 3

The polder tubes are threaded and have a stainless plug, and the silicone ones for the cables/wires. 1
mguerra Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Does anyone actually use the Polder branded products? I wonder how many people on The Forum know why that thermometer cable port is called Polder in the first place. What is the maximum number of thermometer probes anybody has managed to get through that port? I have used a number of different brands of thermometers over the years, but have since firmly landed in the Thermoworks camp.
