Hogsfan Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 Is there a different probe I need to buy or should I just run it under the lid?
EGGARY Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 If it is possible, bend the probe so that it will go in through the little hole. That is what I did. The Maverick 735 comes with probes that are straight. I think the 733 does too.
5698k Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 The probes will bend, just do it carefully. Robert
Poochie Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 I had to bend mine for my Maverick and the meat probe for my CyberQ. I did it slowly and had the probe on a hard surface. I made many very small bends to get the curve out of it. It doesn't have to be perfectly straight to fit.
DennisLinkletter Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 The secret is to make many small bends.. easy to get even the 90º probes to work..
Hogsfan Posted September 28, 2015 Author Report Posted September 28, 2015 Many small bends? Would either of your mind showing me a picture of how what yours look like now?
tony b Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 You don't have to bend it much to get it to fit. Only about 15 degrees. 1

For mine, what I mean is NOT to try to bend it in one continuous motion. You're still bending the same spot, but in small increments until it's where you want it. 1
Hogsfan Posted September 29, 2015 Author Report Posted September 29, 2015 Got it. Thanks to both of you.
