billg71 Posted September 19, 2016 Report Posted September 19, 2016 (edited) OK, maybe a little OT but I don't think anyone could argue that Formula One cars don't get hot and cook their tires and brakes. Did anyone catch the Singapore race today? @DennisLinkletterdid you hop a quick flight over? If not, you missed it, great race! I've been an F1 fan for years, I finally got my chance in 2014 to go to Austin for the race. It was great, I've been there and done that now and have a $50 ball cap to prove it. It was an experience I've waited a long time for. That said, I'll pass on the lines, the waiting for the shuttle bus from the offsite parking, the crowds, the walking miles in the heat of the day and the overpriced foods. I can see more of the race from my La-Z-Boy on the DVR and I can skip the commercials. And save a lot of money in the process. Nevertheless, I have no regrets. It was a bucket-list trip and I'm glad I made it. I just have no desire to do it again. Any other F1 fans out there? Best, Bill Edited September 19, 2016 by billg71
