tony b Posted February 22, 2017 Report Posted February 22, 2017 As if we needed another excuse to use Sriracha in our cooking? I'm excited to try these. http://www.srirachastix.com/ Quote

Keith OctoForks Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 Since they are melting in your food I'd want to know what we're ingesting. Anyone have any ideas of what's in them? Quote
tony b Posted February 23, 2017 Author Report Posted February 23, 2017 Here's some info from the folks actually making the Stix. It's a "proprietary" process. But my best guess is that it's some kind of gelatin, given it starts to liquify at such a low temperature (110F). http://www.seasoningstixs.com/ And, as it turns out, it's a Kickstarter/Indegogo funded project that has yet to get into full production. They are about 6 months behind, which is typical for similar startup campaigns. I'm holding out until they actually begin production before placing an order. Quote
tony b Posted July 23, 2017 Author Report Posted July 23, 2017 Got my final shipment from the Kickstarter - a bottle of Sriracha & garlic butter blend, another of Blend X (jalapeno mixed in with the Classic Sriracha). Tonight I did a NY strip with both of them inserted in the steak - FREAKING amazing! Can't wait for their commercial website to open, so I can order more bottles. 3 Quote
