  1. That is what gave me the idea to do it.
  2. The two KK's sitting next to each other are a good match and basically look the same. But if you look at individual tiles in the same position on each of the finger print cards they are totally different (the pattern of color on each tile). If I am not mistaken this will hold true for your individual pebbles also.
  3. That's why I did it - just in case.
  4. Home Depot definitely has some different models to choose from. We looked at both stores before making our decision. There are definitely nicer units but our space is so limited it really limited our choices.
  5. That is so kewl. I bet it was a hit at the party.
  6. Thanks everyone. I couldn't help myself, I had to try out the rotisserie. And use both KK's at the same time even though last night Prometheus was almost sitting on the deck. The rotisserie worked better than I expected but the motor I had laying around sucks. It got the job done but is week with a lot of slop in the gears. Will have to purchase a better motor soon.
  7. Got that at Lowes for $99. They have many different models to choose from. Some tall, some short, round, square, small, big, you should be able to find one to suit your porch. We wanted something small (limited space) and low to the ground so when we sat around it our knees would also feel the heat. This one is only 18" total diameter and the fire is about 12" off the ground. We also looked at the stand up SS propane heaters. Probably would have worked better for total heat but talk about killing the mood - LOL
  8. As you know with the Terra Cota style tiles, no two tiles are exactly the same. There could never be 2 groups of tiles that are the same. This makes each grill totally unique to any other in the world. With that in mind I decided to photograph a set of "finger prints" for my two KK's. I used 4 distinct areas of each KK to make a finger print card for each grill. If you compare the two finger print cards you can clearly see what I'm talking about. Here is both KK's on temporary stands. This should be close to their permanent location. The 19" finger print card. The 16.5" finger print card.

    Beef ribs

Nice looking beef ribs. I really like your KK tile choice
  10. Great looking pizzas. I am enacting a new forum rule aimed at just you tinyfish ........... LOL If you post pictures of pizza from your wood fired pizza oven you must also post at least one picture of the oven itself or a pizza cooking in the oven. I can never get enough pictures of that beautiful oven of yours.
  11. Kewl experiment. Looks yummy.
  12. Nice full 32 - great picture. That one needs to go on the KK website.
  13. Who are you kidding with the "almost"? LOL
  14. Rotisserie chicken on Cassiopeia with scallop potatoes and asparagus on Prometheus. Chicken seasoned and loaded in th rotisserie basket. Scallop potatoes and asparagus on Prometheus. Chicken spinning on Cassiopeia. Rotisserie chicken. My plate of money
  15. We wanted a little heat for those cooler winter nights and to make the Bistro a bit more cozy for the after dinner cocktails - wink, wink. Got this small propane fire pit. Comes with about a 10' hose. This is on low and it still pumps out the heat. Mrs skreef loves it. Got to keep the Mrs happy.
  16. Great costumes everyone. I live far enough out in the country that I've never had any kids come and trick or treat. Great looking apples.
  17. Really great looking Canadian Bacon. The sliced pictures are really fantastic. Note to self - put slicer on the want list.
  18. Can't wait for your boat to arrive. You need to get a map of that entire area and draw lines across it showing the zigzag path it took to finally reach Canada.
  19. Same driver both KK's. My gravel driveway is about 200'+. The first KK he used the pallet jack and brought it down the driveway. This time I needed to go across some grass to the front porch. With all the rain lately I didn't think the pallet jack would handle going across the yard. I have a really nice motorcycle trailer. It sits low to the ground and has a full width ramp at the back. Made carrying it off the trailer a breeze and then straight up a couple of stairs onto the porch.
  20. TY everyone for the great comments. It really has been an exciting day for both me and Mrs skreef. At around 500* we cooked some quick CI smash burgers. After dinner I let it go a little higher to finish the burn in. Vents are now closed and she's coming down in temp.
  21. Rotisserie chicken planned for tomorrow night.
  22. Just simple smash burgers for tonight's burn in. Will post some pictures shortly as they are about to go on the CI griddle. Rotisserie chicken is on the menu for tomorrow.
