Nice butt. That would be a very manageable time for trying to get dinner cooked on time. I've done some up close to 300* but never at 350*. I could never tell the difference in the final product other than it cooked faster. Will try a turbo butt next time.

Great looking pizzas. Great looking pictures. I'm going to try this one day. Would love your comparison thoughts.

Ever since this morning when I read that my brain has been exploring the possibilities. Something will be coming soon.

Absolutely couldn't resist. Mrs skreef made the meatloaf just so we could try it out. I really hate the idea of drippings going down into the bottom of the KK so I'm sort of a drip pan fanatic. Other than baking there are only a few things I'll cook directly. This drip pan will see a lot of use.

That is completely awesome. I didn't realize that, I just knew it was thick and robust. The Reefs put it to good use last night. Mrs skreef whipped up a quick small meatloaf. I'll confess the drip pan is so Purdy I lined it with foil - LOL

That is a yummy looking plate of food. Great cook, great picture.

Wanted to post a couple more drip pan pictures. This isn't a thin shabby drip pan. 7 1/2 lbs of SS for a 16.5" kamado Here is the lump basket ready to go and the drip pan inserted.

I know they probably don't read the forum but hopefully Dennis can pass the word. I think we need to give a shout out to all the KK Employees. Dennis has a great group of very talented craftsman who obviously take pride in the work they do. You can see that in the welds, laying of the tiles, custom cutting tiles to fill the little gaps, the grout work, etc... - their skill and the pride in their work is evident in everything KK . In this day and age where most everything you buy is mass produced by the lowest paid worker a company could hire it is nice to own something where craftsmanship and pride shines through. A lost art these days. And lets not forget his office and support staff. You may get to Dennis directly when you call but there is somebody behind the scenes keeping everything rolling smooth.

After the awesome conversation I had today about the new KK purchase and now this arrives ................... So this is how bosco feels - LOL

Today I had a nice conversation with Dennis. At the beginning of the conversation he asked if I had received the teak handled grill grippers yet. I told him the package was delivered today but I was not home from work yet. We talked about a lot of things and we talked about my upcoming KK purchase. Along the way I asked about a 16.5" grill shaped dip pan. He told me, "Maybe I'll surprise you one day." I got home today to a rather big package from Dennis - way bigger than grill grippers. Opening that box was like Christmas in October. First up is the grill grippers. TY Bryan for the great pizza contest prize. Also included was a 16.5" basket splitter. And the star of the show was a 16.5" grill shaped drip pan/deflector. He wasn't wrong when he told me he would surprise me one day. I am totally excited about this and it will get used on a regular and constant basis. After all that I was left speechless. I knew the grill grippers were coming but I had no idea about the other items. KK's and Dennis - the finest kamado, person and company to deal with. I am so glad I went KK instead of a Primo.

I did the chicken broth pan method the first time but wasn't pleased with the results. The bottom of the balls seemed soggy. One thing I would do differently is coat the bottom of the thighs in BBQ sauce before I folded it up and stuffed it in the muffin pan. I think that would enhance them even more. Nice plate of food McKenzie.

They are really sweet. Comes in various different lengths. All waterproof connections and you can connect multiple strands up to 200'. They came with small clips that you install one per foot and the rope lighting pushes into the clips. Makes for a nice installation. I bought the clear white version. I got mine mail order from Menards. Right at $36 for a 48' strand. The price is right.

I needed a nice simple cook tonight. Haven't done this one in a while. We start with a custom modified muffin pan and some boneless chicken thighs. Seasoned on the bottom with rubbed Sage. The top got oil, Montreal Chicken and paprika. Stuffed into the muffin pan. Cooked on Prometheus at 390* for one hour. Served with butter honey rosemary carrots and butter garlic couscous. Yup, worked for me.

Looks and sounds good. I can do soup year round.

We might have an announcement this week or maybe a pre-announcement. LOL I'm not totally ready but it's so close it probably doesn't matter.

Awesome video - answers my questions. Almost called Dennis about an hour ago and had rotisserie questions among other things. Glad I waited. When I call him I can now just skip my rotisserie questions and move right to the important stuff. Also Mrs skreef wants one last look at a couple of pictures before she makes the final tile choice. Maybe I'll make the call tomorrow.

Can I pretend to be a grandkid? I promise to be a good student. - LOL

I agree on the autumn Nebula or the dark autumn Nebula (currently in stock). I do think we are going tiles not pebbles since the 16.5" is tiles.

Never used a pressure cooker. Back in the day my mom use to use one (stove top version) all the time. When I was a wee child she had one blow up in her face. No permanent scars but it did make a complete mess out of the entire kitchen. I've wanted to get a pressure cooker canner for some time now.

We have discussed matching KK's. The problem is the current 19" (in LA) with blue Nebula tiles have a lot more blue in them compared to my 16.5" which has a good bit of brown and even some green.Either way it's not going to really match. I'm not sure what would be better - a matching KK that really wasn't a match or something different that was a decent compliment to the entire porch. There is enough cream color in the railings so a autumn color shouldn't get lost. Either way decision is on Mrs skreef. We were looking at the choices on the Internet net today and she pointed out - none of them look the same in person, they all look better in person. I'm good with whatever she picks (within reason).

I have one more improvement to show tonight (had to wait until dark). We had to buy 300' of outdoor rope lighting to light up a path for an outdoor wedding (Mrs skreef's daughter). We bought 6 x 48' sections of clear white LED lighting. It rained and the wedding was moved to an indoor venue and the lighting never got used. That's OK I needed some nice lighting to string up around the inside, top edge of the porch. I've tried a lot of different lighting configurations in the past but this is by far the best yet. Waterproof, LED so it's easy on the eyes, and puts out a decent amount of light. Being LED, it should outlive me. Anyone trying to evenly light up a porch or gazebo this is the ticket. Tried to capture 2 different pictures so you get a good feel for it. I took down a standard porch light and replaced it with this setup. The top switch controls the overhead fans. I then cut the break away tabs on the plugs so I have 2 individual plugs each one controlled separately by the 2 remaining switches. One of the plugs is where the LED lighting is plugged into. This entire box can also be turned off by a switch inside the house.

Thanks everyone - I rarely take the time on the weekend to cook a nice breakfast. Usually we eat a quick bowl of cold cereal then go out riding on the motorcycle and get a decent lunch along the way. Last night I had a few adult beverages then slept in late today. Woke up today to a cool overcast day. Made breakfast then worked on the improvements.
