  1. After putting another lamb leg on last night I noticed we had plenty of fruit 2 days short of a trip to the compost. Sliced and peeled 6 apples. Strawberries, blueberries and 6 bananas. Placed them in a baking dish and poured 1 cup of apple cider vinegar mixed with 2 tablespoons of honey over them. Sprinkled a bit of cinnamon over the top and put it in the kk when I pulled the lamb and shut the kk down. The residual heat baked the fruit beautifully in 30- 40 mins. Tart vinegar, sweet honey, mixed fruit....... almost no sugar cos we had it with ice cream. I’ll take photos of the next version..... probably within a week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. What do you do with the last tomato on the plant, that's still green and you know that it won't ripen? Fried Green Tomatoes!! Remoulade sauce - my "cheater" recipe - Thousand Island dressing, add horseradish, grainy mustard and sriracha.

  7. Relatives only look at you weird and make comments the first 5 or 10 times you do it. After that they just give you that look. More distant relatives definitely give you a harder look. My relatives are used to it and besides I don't care what looks they give me

  9. I've never tried the rolled-up technique. Is it just to save space, or does it make a difference in how they cook?

  10. I've done them for both pork roasts and roasted duck breasts. Different fruit and herb combinations - it is indeed a rabbit hole!! But, it's a NICE rabbit hole - LOL!!

Dinner was awesome, so many delicious side, including, dressing, rutabaga casserole, sweet potato casserole, squash, beets, creamed potato, cranberries, to die for gravy and homemade apple pie a la mode. Today I had another Thanksgiving dinner with some of the leftovers, A very happy camper I am right now. Just need a double espresso.

  17. Tony, my niece cooked the turkey. She lives about a 2 hour drive from me so I brought squash and beets that were already cooked.

  20. Was inspired by a recent jerk cook, so last night was jerk chicken, smoked over pimento wood, with black beans and curry rice.
