  1. Thank you everyone it was definitely a great trip most of all because after cancelling our trip in 2020 and 2022 because of COVID lockdowns we finally got to take my kids there to meet their 95 year old great grandma and a handful of aunts and uncles that they’ve never met this place was also the best ceviche of my life and the mussels/shellfish dish was out of this world. I’ll be attempting those in the summer

  2. I have a few relatives who own this and they rave about it. I haven’t tried true ice cream from one, but I did sample some imitation Dole-whip that was made in one and it was delicious

  3. I have yet to see a review that was negative on the results after the reviewer made several "pints" and read the manual (and I've looked at a lot). Chief complaints were the price and the 24 hour lead time. Of course, most frequent users go ahead and get extra containers so they can have several varieties of frozen stuff in the freezer for when they want some. There are also a bunch of Facebook groups dedicated to it, with several for low calorie and/or keto recipes. That seems to be a big chunk of the market - those looking for low- or no-calorie frozen treats and those avoiding dairy. One good piece of advice I saw in a video is to get a wet erase marker to mark the "pints" with the contents so you don't lose track of what you have in the freezer.

  4. A few of us here are sold on ZEP 505 Industrial Cleaner and Degreaser. I'm a homebrewer, so I always have PBW around. I use it mostly on cleaning the rotisserie gear (baskets, rods, forks) in a 5 gallon bucket. I use a Grill Floss to scrap the grates. I'm not fanatical about having shiny grates, just scrape the cooked-on bits off. Poochie's 5/8 wrench works, too.

  5. Pork back rib dinner today and did I mangle the ribs. The good news is they tasted just fine.
