  3. Aloha everyone; Bruce here; I was the one who bought the BB32 can't wait for it to arrive. Haven't figured out how I will get in to backyard yet, but will cross that bridge when I get there. Looking forward to firing that baby up even if its in the front yard. Happy mothers day all

  4. Today was my son's (Hawke's) 17th birthday. I asked him what he wanted for dinner. "Surprise me dad." I hate that but I crossed off items he's not fond of, thought about what he really likes and came with this. . Thick cut (1.75 inch) dry aged Ribeyes, reverse seared and served md rare. Dwell in the Shell lobster tails. Shiitake mushroom risotto. Steamed broccoli. Mrs skreef made red velvet cupcakes for desert. . Only took 2 pictures but here they are. Hawke got to use the big boy plate tonight - LOL. Makes the food look small but that is really a large plater not a plate. .

  5. Brined these 2 chops for a few hours then dressed them for the KK. On the KK @350F until internal temp. was 155F. Cooked. Plated. Look at that moisture. While the KK was coming up to temperature a friend dropped by with some cup cakes that she had made. WOW! I ate this one before putting the chops on the grill. It was absolutely delicious. Now that's a friend.:):):)

  7. Main reason that I buy most of my bbq cuts at CostCo is that they aren't "enhanced." My local butcher's stuff is excellent, but a tad pricey, so I tend to reserve buying from him for special cooks. And I see absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to use the best grade of meat that you can get your hands on?? I buy prime brisket when the price is right at CostCo. Don't think that makes me a "hipster" at all - because I patently refuse to wear white socks with sandals - LOL!! Have read Mixon's book and he's always been totally unapologetic about being a douche bag, even before the TV exposure, but when you got the hardware to back it up. For the rest of us, there's Steven Raichlen and Chris Lilly (and countless other "nice people" in the BBQ world, like on this Forum!)

  8. Sorry no recipe this time. I was flying by the seat of my pants. A little of this, a bit of that. I have a general idea what I did but not enough for a recipe until I do it again. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
