  1. Twins?!? Where did the sister/brother go?
  2. Too weird for me, perhaps Sanny would dig prepping that!
  3. 1 part Tequila (Cuervo Gold) 1 part Triple Sec (Cointreau) 2 parts Amaretto (Disaronno) 4 parts Sour Mix Mix in shaker or on the rocks! Sugar rimmed glass optional
  4. I open the wheel full and pull the door out about 1" to get 600+, can't get there with the door pushed in.
  5. Sounds like you may have sprung it, I think they are adjustable if you need to fine tune it. Otherwise, they are not real expensive. So, how did the chicken turn out?
  6. I don't think it would be possible to burn your lump that fast/hot and have the grill down to 200 in that time. I did a 500 degree cook over the weekend (evening) it was hot for an hour to an hour and a half, then shut down and not touched. In the morning it was still holding heat of around 100 degrees - 12 hours later and it got down to the upper 30's that night. When you opened your lid was it hot as hell or did you just toast your tru-tel? When you build a high temp fire it builds slowly and really ramps near the end it can take say 20 minutes to go from 0 to 500 and them it will go from 500 to 1000 in a couple of minutes, I've seen it.
  7. I bet there was supposed to be a link and Breech hadn't met the minimum post limit to post links. I think it's 2 posts before you can post a link. Try it now Breech.
  8. Bad news for you, now you have associated yourself with me, even in this small way..... it could spell doom for you!
  9. Is the joke on me, or am I missing something?
  10. Breech, Glad you made it here. Mine works fine, but I'm no programmer, so check out what DJ or the others say. Lots of good info here if you can get it to display on your screen! I have a fairly high res wide screen.
  11. It's no food processor....hey, we don't have one of those.
  12. Sure, laugh it up.... make fun of the fat kid in the snow belt. I'm already trying to figure out how to get the KK to Panama when I retire. Can I just by a plane ticket and put it in the seat next to me?
  13. I guess while we are dreaming, I could hire someone to feed cubes into my super blender , besides not everyone wants the same drink. We also have a Magic Bullet! http://www.amazon.com/Magic-Bullet-Expr ... B000AEZVRS Not bad for milk shakes & smoothies. It also has a dry grinder that I have used to chop some spices that we had whole but needed ground. Funny how the KK makes all the gadgets we had before even more valuable!
  14. DJ - get one of these https://secure.vitamix.com/acb/stores/4/ versatile and powerful. It will make the smoothest blended drinks ever from cubed ice. It's a beast - the gold standard @ bars/restaurants -Starbucks uses them for Fraps. 5 stars.
  15. Here's mine in a late season ice storm - chuggin' away. I have had it nearly a year and no known weather related problems. I would recommend covering it, just to be sure. If it is in the open (can get wet) and you have freezing weather, I would not take any chances, you simply can't be sure you can keep the water out and freezing water is very powerful. Here's how mine spent the winter...when it wasn't being used. The KK opened up a whole new season of cooking options not available to the Weber thin-tin.
  16. Howdy Dave, Consider this, when I have been around a BGE, and lifted the lid, it's a bit of a workout. Not a huge deal, but think about opening your garage door, again not a huge deal, until you get an opener. The KK has the equivalent of an automatic door opener (spring loaded hinge) No effort required, just release the latch and bingo, it's open. I just wanted to point out something that won't show up in a picture. But it's one thing that will benefit you dozens of times each use. Good luck with your decision, and if you roll this way, someone will show you the secret handshake!
  17. You got screwed may be why you went looking elsewhere, but how did you become aware of this company while, or after, you were being intercoursed?
  18. Dang nabbit, I thought of that (after I posted) but couldn't edit the poll. I also wanted to include "saw it on a toasted cheese sandwich"
  19. I was looking through my archived mail and saw some familiar names in my PM's from the Kamado site. I think it would informative to see how we got here.
  20. Will do. I can agree with Dennis on the evenness of the temp from the dome. I have only had to rotate a pie once (one pizza cook - multiple pies) and I later discovered that the HD was tipped (also the lump basket) and the high side was getting hotter. Now I am careful to make sure the basket (and HD) are as flat a possible. FM what was not to your satisfaction on your first pizza try?
