1. I have been through a couple of them now. They wear pretty quick but make it look nice and clean. Like MacKenzie mentioned they do leave a fine powder that i normally clean off with a rag and then olive oil the grates. But they are good.
2. That is a great story. Very glad that Tatay is back home.
3. Great looking cook there Dave. I have one in the fridge to cook as well.
4. Great cook. cooking for 30 is a big task. I have taken some thermal pic's of doing pizza as well. It is amazing to see how cold the KK is even after running at temps for ages.
5. Congrats on a good "Hard" cook. A brisket is easy to get wrong and i am always surprised on how quick things cook on the KK. Glad it worked well and looked great.
6. CGL it was just de-boned, rubbed and cooked. It was a basic rub (Jeff's from smoking meat.com). The other thing was try to get it in the fridge at least one day before to let the rub flavor the meat.
7. I wonder if anyone would question it. Why are you holding that knife over the baby..... it is a mirror
8. hay CGL http://komodokamadoforum.com/topic/5096-new-years-suckling-pig-for-2015/ Was my cook. It was 20 lb and then stuffed with 2 boston buts to help make sure that it cooked evenly.
9. ooohhh cgl i did a suckling pig for new years eve. de-boned it and then stuffed back up with pork buts to make sure that it was a consistent thickness so it would all get cooked about the same time. I now have twice as many people wanting to come to this new years eve...
10. Lol so i ordered one of the knifes and i got a welcome your knife is coming email from amazon. For some strange reason i bothered to read it and this is what is in there Can anyone else see the slight copy and paste error when they were creating the email ? Once, you have unpacked it safely and cleaned the oil residue, your new Royal Chef Knife will be ready to chop just about anything you desire. That’s it for now. I will check back with you in a few days to make sure everything is working for you and share some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) about your Baby Mirror.
11. Tinyfish when the Wife heard that you are in Toronto she said that she is super impressed that your tomatos are out now.
12. Byan just what i needed is to watch a bbq blog sigh.... i do like the look of the Kangaroo marinade
13. We have the Sungold cherry but not quite yet. Also chocolate cherry, a late season that we cant remember and a dwarf egg plant. First of the egg plant should be in a couple of days. The garlic is nearly ready.
14. Our tomatoes are not yet ready. The corn I just put in and don't soak and let the husk burn. No photos of that tonight. Didn't expect that 3 people would eat 6 ears.
15. Nice summer meal. Corn, chicken well done for those that must have it that way and zucchini worth grilled broccoli. Is it bad when a 23 only just feeds 3 people and you are using 2 layers
16. Congrats and glad that it arrived safe and sound
17. If there are not 2 or 3 cooks that I screw up in a week then I must be on vacation and someone else is doing the cooking. Just means that I have to practice more 😊
