  1. And so it shall be "Prometheus" from this day forever more! A very apt name for a KK, the Titan of all grills!
  2. MacKenzie - you should be required to issue drool bins with your posts! Looks positively scrumptious!
  3. Yeah! The Titan who gave fire to mankind in Greek mythology! How appropros.
  4. MacKenzie - that is a killer money shot! Beautiful cook. Simply beautiful. Kudos!
  5. MacKenzie - Interesting. Never thought of using a rice cooker for Mac-n-cheese. This may be a reason I finally go out and buy a rice cooker!
  6. ckreef - what do you call a guy who fails 7 out of 10 times? HALL OF FAMER! Buddy, I've see your cooks for some time now and I"d say your're hitting it out the park 99 times out of 100! I think you're allowed a less than perfect outcome occasionally. Keep your chin up. Let's put this in perspective. Look no bones were broken, no arterial bleeding, skreef stills loves you, Hawke is a great kid, and you're a KK owner! Life doesn't get much better!

tony - thanks for a really nice review! It is appreciated. Big Bob's white sauce is quite tasty and I love Cornell Chicken. Kudos and congrats to you ... killer money shots! Attaboy! I just don't understand the asparagus problem. I lay my asparagus directly on my KK grates, 90 degrees to the direction of the stainless steel bars. Nothing slips through that way.
  8. ckreef - if I know you, you'll turn the corner on this and the next cook will be droolicious! Here's to that cook my friend!
  9. ckreef - this is not like you! What the heck happened?
  10. Tony - you sly dog, you! You just can't get any better than that cook. Great money shot. Hey, can ya pass a plate to this old Okie?
  11. MacKenzie - that's one seriously sumptuous cook you cooked up! Now I'm not a big fan of fungus, but those stuffed mushrooms look mighty tempting and that burger is just outta this world! Congrats!
  12. Ckreef - man, that desert pic was outlawed by the Geneva Convention as cruel and unusual punishment and torture! WOW! Very nice!
  13. I've used mayo when cooking salmon over high heat. Keeps it wonderfully moist!
  14. That's some kind of tasty looking spun lamb! Kudos on the cook.
  15. Shack - that's a most generous offer! I always liked P'Cola. I was specifically in Mobile and Sea Side. Those sugar white beaches are spectacular. I miss the Gulf Coast, all the great seafood and sun and sea. Nothing like the smell of salt air and hickory smoke!
  16. ckreef - that is one beautiful butt cook. Gorgeous color! Very well done. Kudos!
  17. Shack - I'm in Oklahoma City. Not exactly the DEEP South, but I've lived in Houston, NOLA, down on the Red Neck Riveria around Mobile and Pensacola, and in Gainesville. Great places for seafood! I miss the Gulf.
  18. I'm down here in the South where Hush Puppies are almost sacred! I'm trying that recipe this week! Shack - you ain't cute, but by gollies you are good!
  19. ckreef - this is gonna be some kind of good! Tell Hawke I said CONGRATS on being responsible enough and knowing enough to be left in charge of a butt on Super Jr! You've done very well with Hawke, Charles! KUDOS!
  20. +1^! tiny - what would ever possess you to think that way? LOL!!
  21. Oh my! tony, thanks! My old restaurant used to serve a TON of grilled cheese sandwiches of every sort. Gotta get me a grilled cheeses sammie today.
  22. Shack - oops, sorry. I'll explain. My granddaughters (The Ladies) have nooooooo skills in cooking except in doing ramen noodles in the microwave. I'm getting them slowly involved in cooking on my KKs.
  23. Scrumptious! Absolutely scrumptious money shot. Kudos!
  24. Tiny - the longest days of my life were from the time I got the notification that the KK was loaded and shipped and the call from the dock in OKC stating it would be delivered the next day!
  25. ckreef - great looking spatch'ed yard bird! Very nice color on that bird. Kudos!
