  1. Great advice so far. Start a smaller fire and shut it down sooner.
  2. Whats a delicious cook. I have yet to make stuffed peppers but when they look that good I have to ask myself... why haven't I.
  3. Wth the Komodo models 23" and 32" they come standard with three cooking levels of 3/8" bars of 304 stainless steel that weigh a ton. The lower and main grates have trap doors that open too. In this picture at the very bottom you can just see a little of the heat deflector which is sitting on the charcoal basket then the lower grate with the trap door open then the middle cooking grate with the trap door open. Rak you better take your temperature you may be getting the Komodo virus.
  4. Wilburpan posted a recent rib cook on the main grate and upper grate and I'll post one here of the same. As Robert said low and slow no problem you can probably use all three levels for low and slow worst case one time you would have interchange the food from the lowest grill...maybe. next time I do ribs I'll cook them on all three levels for a test.

    Howdy!

Thanks for the kind words Bosco. i would say your not copying me since you have a multiple kamado set up already and your upgrading your kamado's from Fords to Ferrari's. We have similar cooking style/setup which allows us to cook at different temperatures and setups in more then one kamado.
  6. at most all i will do is copy your first cook, thats looks like a great meal thats fun and everyone can how did you say it "make their own dam food"

Wow another great video with some delicious food. If you guys want my 20 year old son can show you what he know how to make, Kraft Dinner thats macaroni and cheese from a box. My son has specialized in the eating part not the cooking part...LOL.
  8. Thanks Bosco, thats fine lets share our cabinet. I wanted a cabinet to sit in between my current KK and my one on order but I had concerns about the the teak top with stains or burns from hot items. So Dennis came up with the idea of placing a stainless steel inlay in the top. I told Dennis I trust his opinion so lets go for it, I'll be the guinea pig. For those that don't know Dennis or haven't seen his products he does nothing second rate and I don't even think he know the word mediocre. If its not over engineered it's not a KK. Enough talk here's the picture, its not the greatest picture but you get the idea. If I remember correctly the cabinet is 48" long and will fit two 23" KK'S. Still can't figure out how to make the picture bigger in my post I even tried form my computer instead if my phone and same thing.
  9. Great tasty cook. I too like the plated photo on the KK, you may have started a trend. Dennis makes the best looking drip pans. If my wife ever notices the drip pan she going to think I took one of her serving trays...LOL.

Great video she is a natural for sure. Will have to try the Nutella trick next apple pie. I should just go buy a bigger belt now...
  11. Great colour choice Bosco you won't be disappointed.
  12. One of my new favorites is Cimarron Doc's Sweet Rib Rub.

    Nutella and apple pie...please share.
  14. I normally only use smoke wood on brisket and ribs and mild wood at that. My new favorites peach (thanks Bosco recommend) and sugar maple then white oak (similar to post oak).
  15. Thats the beauty of elastomeric grout it has give to it and will in most cases seal itself back up.
  16. Great cook and look at the quality of the pictures.

Rak welcome and I love those tile colours sure would be one of a kind. Watch out the Komodo fever is quick to develop and impossible to cure.
  18. Looks great Bosco. I'm sure it was a great party.
  19. I asked Dennis about getting coffee wood with my order and he said Canada won't allow the wood...thanks Canada customs. Have to see about getting sent to the USA and then to Canada.
  20. My KK cleaning storage bin is growing. I have a magic eraser, Simple Green mix, quick detailer, and wax x 2. I might have to go with the original Italian Scotch Guard and wrap my KK in plastic like my mother's sofa...LOL.
  21. Look at the shine. It makes me want to go out and polish mine.
  22. That does look so romantic. There is one thing missing, a glass of wine, I guess your holding it.
  23. that looks absolutely delicious. i love how clean your grills are.
  24. The one I want (now that I realize the fun factor) is this model. http://korin.com/Charcoal-Barbecue-Konro?sc=56&category=20227123 It is 3 chamber at around 30". Could easily handle 6 people. Would also allow for different temp cooks, just load each section up with a different amount of lump (small pieces are best). Mind you this is the "KK" version and will cost you a bit more. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk Thank you CK for the link. That looks nice but since you have the one Yakatori already wouldn't it be a lot cheaper and give you more room to buy a second one of the same size. That would give 34" total length compared to 30" plus more flexibility.
