  1. Thanks for the input all. Saphira and I have decided that Saphira is her first name and Lapis is her middle name! On to roasting cherry tomatoes today!ðŸ…
  2. Thank all, it was delish! I have to give credit to our chicken farmer, she is a young woman who is growing organic chickens, she raises and processes them all herself. We go up once or twice a year on "chicken day" and pick up a batch for the freezer. They are excellent!
  3. Oh tonyb, that sounds awesome! New inspiration, thank you!
  4. Yes, hard to believe our little sweet ones are so fierce, those rodents (or stuffed animals) don't stand a chance!
  5. Ok here is the second try, my KK first Saphira Lapis lazuli
  6. Ok well the dragon pictures didn't work but hopeful my first roti chicken cook pics will! It was delicious! No plated shots because my sweetie almost ate it before it was off the rotisserie!
  7. Me too Robert, I would have to explain LaLa all the time and Saphira sounds more like the beauty she is! Plus the book/movie Saphira was wise beyond her years...
  8. I soon wish I was a baker MacKenzie, or that I lived near you!! I have no feel for it whatsoever, but I love yeasty or sourdoughy or whatever... !
  9. Rats, looks like my pictures did not post, darn I cloud, I will try to download them to the iPad later and post just the pictures. Sorry, I had such good intentions!
  10. OK, me and my beautiful 19.5 inch tall are down to two name choices. She is a Terra Blue, as you can see...<img src='http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09/05/f6e4a07f21930d4cbef74f3d8bb436b1.jpg'alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' /><br /> <br /> The choices she thinks are acceptable are, in no order of preference, LaLa, for lapis lazuli<br /> <img src='http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09/05/e326b1fd8c45a6a95b658b693bcbfff6.jpg'alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' /><br /> Or Saphira, the Name of Eragon's blue female dragon in the Inheritance book/Eragon movie.<br /> <img src='http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09/05/be3e9e5a6363c60c408297433677cf20.jpg'alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' /><br /> I should not taint you all, but I am leaning toward Saphira, I love the dragon theme! Though I am an anthropology under grad and lapis lazuli is pretty much dead on for color.....see our dilemma? What say you?
  11. tonyb, your Guinness was a beauty. I can't even think about how heartbroken we are going to be when the inevitable happens with our 15-1/2 year old rat terrier....ðŸº
  12. Ah, thanks MacKenzie, another place to add to my must visit list! Of course for a girl of Irish ancestry who's birthday is St. Patrick's Day, Ireland should be first on my list!ðŸ€ðŸº
  13. Nice outdoor kitchen and lovely ribs and sides!
  14. If you can get it try the Guinness Extra Foreign Stout, that one word "Foreign" makes all the difference, IMHO! Unfortunately it is tough to find, I have only had it on a cruise ship.
  15. I am lucky enough to have tried Heddy Topper. My sister and brother in law live in VT and poor me the love of my sister's life is an AWESOME home brewer, so he set a bottle aside when he knew we were coming for a visit. The others I have not heard of. Iowa and beer who would think it, tonyb? I believe every state has come a long way, beer-wise in the last 5 years, well, the country as a whole has. MacKenzie, I sure can see sipping a nice hoppy beer while enjoying some of the wonderful food you cook! I just came home from the taproom, had an Arrogant Bastard, but now I am going to bed hungry and thirsty, but with a smile on my face!☺ï¸
  16. Congrats all the way around Poochie, have a great holiday and see you, I mean, your food...again soon!😛
  17. Awesome dinner kjs, I wasn't hungry until I saw that money shot.! Mmmmm, mmmm...
  18. Now that is interesting, but I know a lot of women, myself included who are huge hopheads. I love hoppy beer. I am jealous you can make a "Pliny" clone...it has almost reached cult status in these parts! Nice wedding gift, for sure!
  19. I love pesto, yum, this inspires me to go harvests that basil! Thanks!
  20. That is cool. You are going to brew some wonderful hoppy beer this season!
  21. Ours are not nearly as big this year as they were this time last year. Who knows? We are going to our favorite taproom tomorrow and will invite the brewer up to look at the hops. We will harvest them when he says harvest!ðŸº
  22. Delectable looking MacKenzie! What did you sauce the burger balls with? PJ
  23. The peas and red peppers are so bright and beautiful!
