  1. Just an FYI, if you tag him it should send him a notification @Desert Dave @bbqking103
  2. Not that I have ever seen but as far as grout is concerned It doesn't last forever so if needed it is always best to just buy a new tube.
  3. I'll go see if i can find my notes but I did this one for my first day of retirement 4 years ago. It was great, I bought it without the head. I tried one with the head still attached and it was really creepy lol I will say this, I think if i do it again I will finish on the upper rack with skin side up for a few hours for a crispier skin.
  4. I remember that too, it was the same kind of straps used by movers.
  5. I just got 20 lb of coffee wood from Dennis If you call the shipping price is much easier to justify lol
  6. Its not that unusual to find rocks in charcoal.
  7. C6Bill

    Zucchini Medley

    I'd eat that !!!
  8. @Justin Mulwee I will put the Upper grate inverted down low over the coals when reverse searing a steak or roast. You can see it in my picture above. I've never needed to access the coals like I used to with the BGE or Primo XL.
  9. I'm thinking he missed having the 32, i know i would !!!!
  10. That really does look like a great size !!!
  11. All of it looks great !!! I've never seen a chicken done like that but the results look fantastic
  12. Agreed, looks to be the 16
  13. Now I want one of those to see if it is easier lol I used my half grate yesterday
  14. But today was a good day 😁 A nice little 3 pound tomahawk from Snake River. I was in the mood for rare tonight 😉
  15. I really need to get out and cook something !!!! We have had so much rain it is hard to schedule anything outside. But today looks promising !!!
  16. The first thing to do is to call and ask about the half grate, i use mine in my 32 more than any other accessory. I'm thinking they may have just changed the name to warming grate ???? But call Dennis as that question has been asked a few times recently, he loves to talk grills and he is the one who can give you a definitive answer on that 👍
  17. I am so stealing that !!!! Today would be a great day for a nice warm meal. Feel like winter again
  18. I believe it comes with, at least it did in the past. But I do see it listed under accessories now so maybe it doesn't. I use mine a lot. You will not regret getting the KK, you will love it !!!
  19. Great looking ribs !!!
  20. I'm 63 with back issues but I have no issues with the grates. Ask me again when I am 73 and i might have a different answer lol
  21. The basket splitter and half grate go hand and hand for grilling a thick steak. I use both for doing a reverse sear. I'll invert the upper grate over the coals so it is only a few inches above and put the half grate up in the cooler side. I'll run my temp at about 250 until i get the internal temp i am looking for. Then you take your steak off to rest for 15 or 20 minutes and then open the damper up to get those coals red hot. Then you sear on the lower grate. You will love the results. I do the same for prime rib. Welcome to KK steak cooking
