  1. Fryed turkey is great...no doubt, but you have to at least try one on the KK. That's a great turkey smoking machine
  2. I'll have to do that when I get home. Hey, I was just trying to cook, there was smoke coming outta that thing all week-end It's put together well Dennis...ya done good.
  3. They look good, how were they? I can't seem to make the pics large so I can't get much detail (like juice), but none the less they look good.
  4. Re: November 27th Is "K" Day! Throw some spares or babybacks on. That's always a winner Maybe do some ABT's to snack on and hour or so before the ribs are done.
  5. Today for lunch I'm eating some of those riblets that I trimmed from the spare ribs on Saturday. The co-workers will complain again cause it smells to good.
  6. Well, your's needed a coffin, mine's only in need of a wheelchair
  7. Those are sure different looking...are they still white tails? I'd like to see a good close up of one of those....funny looking ears and all...if you can get one. They prolly scared of dogs though, right
  8. Well, I thought of tripod...but we gone have us a miracle and that legs gone be made whole again...and Tripod won't make sense no more. But Gypsy will always make sense to me
  9. No, no handles like that on mine, maybe they were left at the other place Gyspsy used to live
  10. That's true, he could eat her with a clean conscious
  11. You know what. I just never thought of that, I never had one of those rings before I think I'm gonna use that method though for the Christmas turkey...thanks for the heads-up Just to clarify, if you are referring to the removable ring that you can put in the coal basket- that's the "small load ring" (or something like that) for small cooks with small amounts of lump. I was referring to the 2 "handles" that stick up on the basket - that's typically where I put mine, however, I did put it on the lower grill once for pizza and the weight, combined with the high fire, it appeared to warp my lower grill. I'll have to go back and look and see if I have those 2 handles. I don't recall seeing them
  12. You know what. I just never thought of that, I never had one of those rings before I think I'm gonna use that method though for the Christmas turkey...thanks for the heads-up And that was a little spill not barf
  13. Those are the littlest flower pots they sell at Walmart. About a quarter a piece
  14. I think I really like Gypsy. I did an 11 lb (I didn't read the wt. but it felt like about that) turkey sorta by the Mad Max Turkey recipe (See TNW's website for the recipe). Since I'm gone next week I wanted to do one anyways. I'm gonna use the Mad Max method exactly for a big turkey Christmas, cause I'm cooking the turkey for our family gathering. It was extremly good...extremely juicy. Took about 3 1/2 hrs at about 325. I love this KK man...it's awesome.
  15. Oh that was good, Gerard's gonna send you a present for that one...plus he's gonna be really mad that he didn't think of it I bought mine before the legs were standard...and to tell you the truth, them ole skinny looking legs didn't look to me like they would hold up very well so I opted for the K wheelchair
  16. Now it has been a long time since I have read the Chronicles of Narnia and I don't recall CS Lewis ever writing what Aslan eats or doesn't eat. I did read "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" twice that I can recall. Did I miss something? Is he really a vegetarian? Or was he a vegetarian just for the movie? Well, I actually just said that because he loved all of the beings so much I just couldn't ever have imagined him eating one of them
  17. That Lion is Aslan, he is actually a vegetarian
  18. Re: Almost ready Well, her mama gave the land to her, what can I say
  19. I think DJ needs some of Curly's happy place pills, - or has Curly run out with a day to go before the Pharmacy opens. Out here in the country we grow our own happy pills.
  20. I took this picture this morning from my back porch. You have to look close, but right about dead center is a deer. Once you find that one (the easy find) look left about 4 tree trunks and you can see the face of another (ear, eye and nose) looking at me also. There were 3 out there this morning foraging, as soon as I opened the door, they scrammed
  21. Re: Almost ready Yo Curly those trees are not manly colors! What are they doing in your back yard? You knew someone was going to make fun of your colors right? Well, the trees are my wifes
