Yeah right...like he was accidentally taking out his trash . You prolly don't want to know how bad his neck and back are hurting from hanging out by that window waiting for you to free the bird . Look if my 6 mth old mutt already knows when smoke is coming outta that thing, great food will soon follow...how long do you think it took your genius neighbor to figure it out. He may be a male, but that don't automaitcally mean he's stupid...well, at least when it comes to food and that other thing we really like
I have one of those disposable ones at work...works nice. I also have one of those that you press with your thumb (a one-hander) that I like.
I like the old looking ones with the handle that you turn...and the old brass ones are nice.
I'm thinking about making one out of wood that came off of our land. I am not a wood turner...don't have a lathe. I doubt I'd want it completely rounded anyway, maybe try to leave some weird shapeness to the wood...maybe a knot sticking out or something.
Not sure how to do the insides though. I'm guessing all I do is drill the correct size hole from one end to the other that will accomadate the inner workings. I'm sure I can get a pepper mill woodworking plan off the internet somewheres, I've seen the guts for sale on the woodworking sites.
Re: Knife sharpening - including the Tormek
Dawg man, what does it all mean? Was I swindled or not? Would I have been better off buying a variety pack of sandpaper?
Anybody know a good brand of pepper mill with a good grinding mechanism. I know the guy that FireMonkey bought his from puts ceramic grinders in there. What do people have? Any thoughts?
The After photo...wow
Whalla, now look at Majestiks beautiful cooker. Dude, you do great tile work . I think you could easily get a job in Indonesia as a tile lady
I think the wife has something to do with it!
She's like a bear, only hairyer (hairier...hmmmm, is that a word, neither looks right )
By the way Sam, what's that extra little thing hanging off your post? DJ messin aroung again
That sounds like the object is to hide the meat and whatever flavor it may bring Kind of like "We have this bear, and we are going to eat it so we can survive the winter. It may be nasty stuff, but the protein will keep us alive."
Exactly why I stick to conventional barnyard animals!
You are a braver man than I, Curly. I think living in that log-cabin out in the woods has brought out the call of the wild in you
I think that's what they do cause they don't have a ceramic cooker
I'll let you know how it tastes
Yeah, the websites I went to emphasised the trickynoses thingee and that pork was very similar.
My brother and his wife told me there way...bury it in chicken soup...put a lot of salt and pepper on it and cook in crockpot
I was at my brothers house in Fla for thanksgiving. He goes to Alaska to hunt a lot and always has plenty of red meat in his freezer of all sorts of large mammals....because they can't cook a lick
So I have some bear meat and deer to cook. I've never eaten bear, so I've found a few websites that have a lot of different ways to cook it. Any suggestions?
Here's a picture of little 6 mth old Chubby after a really hard day of playing with 3 of his new canine friends.
This is where he always sleeps....until he outgrows it
Well, it did flash! Hey, he can tell it's a KK and he can tell it's a covered porch...that's all my camera could do tonight. Maybe in a few days I'll try again
Re: Covered Porch and a KK
Covered porch is good. Mine is/are in a corner. . Here's a pic I just took in the dark. Can't see too good, but the top of the porch is knotty pine, the walls are stained pine logs. We have a few ceiling fans back there and one happens to be near enough to the kitchen window that when it's open the smoke doesn't come in (as bad). But we tend to keep it closed when it's a smoking anyways.
I guess I really scared you guys with that line. I work for Fosters Beer Inc.
Doggit, I've been deleting files all day for naught .
So, whens mustard sposed to be in?
