  1. Hello! Welcome to the forum. We all know you made the right choice and you are on your way to the most consistent cooker you have ever experienced! I too have tried many different cookers from offsets to a Traeger pellet feed; but it was not until ceramics did I learn there really was one grill that could handle low/slow as well as high temps. Again, welcome aboard and feel free to ask any questions or post some fishing pics - hehe. -=Jasen=-
  2. Those magic erasers are great on painted wall scuffs too. Normally if you try to clean a wall scuff you remove some paint or generally make it look worse, but these erasers do the trick! -=Jasen=-
  3. Re: cows passing gas increase global warming!! Just imagine all the damage DJ's doing. "I fart in your general direction!!" -=Jasen=-
  4. Are you referring to the fact you had to post two test post before you could post the pics? There is a spam trap installed that only allows you to post text messages until you have made two posts and been a forum member for 2 days before allowing to post a URL (and pics are URL links). Though there is no size limits on the text posts. If you think that is not it, PM me with more info. -=Jasen=-
  5. Eh, I skipped the book and watched the movie instead. Though I do not think the things they did to pie can be mentioned in this forum. -=Jasen=-

  7. Hey Fish Taco, how about just unscrew the 1/8 male pipe to 3/8 flare (the bad one) coming out of the gas valve and buy a new 1/8 male pipe to 3/8 flare 90 that is correct? -=Jasen=-
  8. Re: Holiday Weekend Cook....What's In Your KK? Oh you really might not want pics from everyone on what they are freeing this weekend! It could get ugly quick! -=Jasen=-
  9. No problems, happy to help out. Let me know if you are still having problems. Are you getting any notifications (from private messages)? If not, maybe it is a spam filter on your email? -=Jasen=-
  10. That would be a big negative!!!! But I think it might be very soon???? -=Jasen=-
  11. Re: forum question Actually it says "Notify on new Private Message:" or "Always notify me of replies:". So if you expect it to notify you on all new forum posts, this is not a feature. It will only notify you on threads that you have posted to or in the bottom left corner while viewing a thread, you select "Watch this topic for replies". It will also notify you of private messages. -=Jasen=-
  12. Re: Somebody...help me with this guru port Before you bust it out, do you have the Guru sleeve (it does not come with the Guru, it is an extra)? In not, wait till you get your Guru inducer sleeve and kill plug, then bust it out. -=Jasen=-
  13. Bunk. That was the tamest thing I've had in a while. I'm sure I could find something more entertaining. This is the thanks I get for showing some interest in your health? Oh hell... pweez Master, pweez, can I have my avatars back? You promise no more hoff? -=Jasen=- Sure, whatever.[/quote:12gywdot] Hehe, just doing my duty in protecting the eyes from being gouged out of the forum users head - intentionally after viewing. hehe -=Jasen=- There, how's that avatar - hehe.

  15. Still in the background, just taking a bit of a posting hiatus as that latest round of meds for my back had put in a bad place. Though good news for a change, I am finally off them. As of last Wednesday, my latest round of cortisone did the trick. The vail of fuzzy haze some people would pay for is finally lifting. -=J

    Fish Tacos

OMG, hehe, I guess I when I placed fish and batter in the same recipe, I kinda thought it was obvious that it was fried. My bad, I will add that little tidbit. hehe -=Jasen=-
  17. Re: Good Fish Tacos... I just hope you would not eat the wrong type of fish taco! hehe It can be very dangerous. hehe -=Jasen=-

    Fish Tacos

Hehe, Ok, since it was requested. It is really pretty simple or at least how I like them, it is. Majestik helped me out with some suggestions from his old hometown area (if I left something out, jump right in). -Corn Tortillas -Mild fish (I use Whiting, but some use Tilapia) -Batter (sometimes I feel like beer batter, sometimes corn flour, sometimes tempura) -Shredded cabbage -Cheese (your favorite mild Mexican cheese - http://www.igourmet.com/shoppe/shoppe.a ... cat=Mexico ) -Sauce (this is your experiment here - sour cream is good - but adding some cilantro and a touch cumin to the mix is also nice) Dip the fish in the batter or lightly dust in corn flour, fry at 325F until golden brown (and they completely float). Quickly heat the tortilla shells in a skillet over high heat, couple seconds per side. Serve immediately!
  19. Re: Good Fish Tacos... Actually, they are really good eats dude! Kinda funny that topic came up since I have really been into making them lately. Even got a few recipes from Majestic - thanks bud! -=Jasen=- Ok. I believe you.. Are there some recipes to share! I will post you one in the recipe section in a bit. -=Jasen=-

  21. Re: Okay, I'm in. Welcome to the forum! Are you talking about the Tru-Tel thermometer that comes with the grill? If so, that is for telling you grills internal temperature. For meat temps you would want to get a remote type (maverick or similar). Or be one of us lazy folks and get a grill controller such as a Guru or Stoker. You can could just probably just pick one type of gloves or the other, the welders gloves have way better dexterity. Though I think it is either silicone or welders as I don't think neoprene gloves are extremely temp resistant (unless your wanting them for food prep maybe??). Anyway, pick up a couple of boston butts to have when your grill arrives! Get yourself some good lump charcoal and fire away any questions you have at us! -=Jasen=-
  22. I used the can-o-sealer on my old grill. It was pretty easy, but after a while, I was less than enthusiastic with the results. I am thinking the temperatures maybe killed the sealing abilities as after using the grill, the beading effects were gone. I ended up getting the more expensive solvent based sealants (just don't use them while your grill is in use - duh). -=Jasen=- PS - will be going with a Johnnyboy Jammy more than likey this time.
