I bought my 1st 23 OTB in 2011. Love it. cook on it 4-5 times weekly....honest. Wife loves it for that reason. So I broke down (ha ha) and bought one for our vacation place in Colorado. First cooks last week! Brisket, ribs and more Monkey pig Twinkie dogs

Still not sure what to call these other than delicious.... Banana wrapped in bacon cooked low and slo for 3 hours, and placed in a twinkie with crunchy peanut butter and bittersweet chocolate. Back on the KK for 5 minutes to melt.

A buddy and I went to Memphis...briefly, we met Chris Lilly, Mike Mills, Garry Roark and many others to numerous to mention. All of these champions treated us like royalty and fed us championship Q. Special thanks to Garry of Ubon's out of Yazoo City MS, who adopted us and allowed us to join their team (another story). We were with Chris when the double rainbow appeared and he thought it was good luck for his 4th World Championship. He won! We finished up with a side trip to Decatur AL and brisket at Big Bob Gibson's. MIM is amazing, but plan ahead! Rules prevent visitors from randomly sampling competitors Q.... A few pics.....

Duck and drippin potatoes...used a modified Lilly recipe from his new book asian inspired served with hoisin and pancakes. Threw some ribs on at the last minute for dinner tomorrow...high heat with the duck...ok I ate a couple tonight...can't lie. They were good even cooked high and fast

Retained heat chicken parts..... Bring KK to 450-500 in about 20 minutes. cook parts on upper grill direct 5 minutes per side. close down KK and let temp drift down to about 325 over next 10-15 minutes. take breasts off. 10 minutes more for legs. crispy skin and moist
