    Runaway Komodo

Granted, this wasn't a kk, but, my old bge was in a cedar table, with a 1" piece of granite between the base of the grill and the table. When I sold the set up to make room for little boy, I found that the table under the granite was significantly charred, to the point that it would have burned through eventually. I'm just saying that the bottoms get hotter than you might realize, so be careful. Robert

  3. Congrats on your cooker, you got the best!! Make sure you read up on the crate, it's designed well also, and follow the high heat burn in instructions. This isn't a big deal, it actually allows you and your grill to get acquainted. As already stated, pics please! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  16. I'm thinking of re naming my grills, mainly because when I bought my first kk, I didn't anticipate buying another. What are ya'lls thoughts on Fat Man, and Little Boy? Robert
  17. +1 on the shop vac with drywall filter. Works like a champ. Robert
  18. Why so low? Even at 225°, you're looking at an overnighter. How big are the briskets? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. With a 20 cfm fan, you should be able to weld. The gurus work beautifully, you're going to love it. Robert

  21. Apples and oranges? I prefer to think there's Komodo Kamados, then there's everything else.
  22. For your first brisket, stick with 50/50 salt and pepper. It's the simplest, yet it's still the most popular in my family.
  23. I have a 19", and a 23", and the 23" has way more room available. That said, the 19" is surprisingly big, it has room that other grills its size doesn't have. On a day to day basis, and if you told me it's the only grill I can have, I would be perfectly happy. If you're concerned about available room, don't be, its actually larger than other brand's large models. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
