EGGARY
Trying to clean out the Pantry and I have a few Rubs that are probably beyond their due date. How long do you keep your Rubs ? Do you toss them if they are past their Due Date ? HAPPY NEW YEAR !
Poochie
Until the jar is empty. I’ve never seen one go bad.

Poochie
I've also found that rubs taste much different on meat than they do off your finger. Most of the time they taste much better on meat. So don't throw one away based on a quick taste out of the container
tekobo
I generally make my own rubs and keep them in the fridge or freezer to keep them fresh. The freezer trick is good because they stay loose and you can scoop them out when you need them and then return them to the freezer.
tony b
I'm notorious for having a pantry FULL of spice rubs, most of which get used a couple of times and then forgotten. A few spices will lose some flavor over time, but nothing ever "goes bad." This post reminds me that it's time to do a pantry clean out/purge!
