blumbergk Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Hi Guys, I am interested in smoking fish. I have regular access to Tuna (usually blackfin), mackerel, kingfish, and the occasional billfish that can't be released. I would like to smoke fish on my KK, I think it would be "warm smoked" at around 180 degrees. Can anyone give me a link or possibly post a thorough description of this technique please? I am interested in smoking my own on the KK rather than buying a separate fish smoker or getting smoked fish at the market. Tx
ecjohnson32 Posted June 25, 2016 Report Posted June 25, 2016 Hi: Did you ever get any information from any other KK users regarding using the KK for smoking fish; or did you end up experimenting yourself? I'm am interested in doing the same thing, and don't want to buy a dedicated fish smoker.
Aussie Ora Posted June 25, 2016 Report Posted June 25, 2016 For some unknown reason this thread got me thinking I have never smoked fish before so thought I'd look into it so many different ways .but I came across this using a webber kettle just replace the heat beads with lump simple enough to adapt to a kk http://biavic .com.au/the-art-of-smoking-fish/ Outback Kamado Bar and Grill♨
ckreef Posted June 25, 2016 Report Posted June 25, 2016 Dennis has those smoke machines that plug into the Guru port coming. I asked him the other day - they are on the boat heading to LA. Won't be long now. Reef's Bistro
