mk1 Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 Just a quick teaser....just left. Great event for Pediatric Brain Tumors charity. Great chance to eat competition BBQ. Fantastic music. We came in 10th overall and 6th in whole hog. 85 teams this year. I helped cooked ribs which came out great. Many people said they were the best ever. They did not even get 10th place. Go figure. Much more to follow once I am home.
5698k Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 I wanted to go to that, but I was out of town. It's a great event! I live in Lakeview, almost walking distance. Robert

GoFrogs91 Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 I so have to do a suckling pig on the KK. That looks great.
CeramicChef Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 I so have to do a suckling pig on the KK. That looks great. I was just thinking the very same, Frogs! It would look so cute all curled up on the main grate of TheBeast. I'm thinking it would make a wonderful first cook of the season! What a party idea! 1
ckreef Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 I was just thinking the very same, Frogs! It would look so cute all curled up on the main grate of TheBeast. I'm thinking it would make a wonderful first cook of the season! What a party idea! I curled a headless one up on my 19" so I know the Beast could easily handle it. You really need to get a really small one so you can spin it.
CeramicChef Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 ckreef! Dadgumit, great minds do think alike! But that basket does hold quite a bit, so maybe not such a small one. That would make an awesome cook, huh?
ckreef Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Will be looking forward to that stellar cook.
