CC, Tony, Poochie road trip

Tony, Ceramic Chef and Poochie are driving to the Grand Canyon and the car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. They decide they’ll have to walk for miles.

Ceramic Chef: “I’ll take out the car battery and cables. If we’re stuck overnight, maybe I can send morris code for help somehow.â€

Poochie: “I’ll take out the washer fluid reservoir. If we get desperate for water, we’ll have to drink this stuff.â€

Tony: “I’ll take the back door off and bring that with us.â€

CC and Poochie: “Why in the world would you do that?â€

Tony: “Boy, are you guys dumb. If we get hot we can roll the window down.â€

That's an old Texas A&M Aggie joke down here.

The Aggies also stopped serving ice with their soft drinks during football games as the Aggie with the recipe graduated last fall.

Poor Tony, he's like the guy that tells people how bad McDonald's food is but he keeps going back!  :toothy3:  I'm sure you've got a rib tickler to share with us.

Not much of a joke teller, Poochie, sorry!

And, the only time I ever go to a Mickie-D's is when I'm on a road trip and it's the only option, typically breakfast. In fact, Popeye's and Arby's are about the only fast food that I ever do. I was estatic when Cedar Rapids got it's first Popeye's last year. On opening day, the line of cars was almost a 1/2 mile long - and I was one of them!!

Church's chicken is the king in my opinion. Popeyes uses drumsticks and thighs that come off of parakeets. OK, they're small. The one dollar spicy chicken sandwich at Mcdonalds isn't bad.

I was in New Orleans, just after the floods and got a chance to meet some of the local folks and talk about the devastation.

One lovely older lady and I struck up a conversation and I was asking about what had been destroyed, I asked her if a lot of churches had been destroyed.

She paused a moment and looked me square in the eye and said "Honey, I really don't know, we are popeyes people"
