Gnomatic
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGAP1DG_Vs8 Poking around YouTube the other day I stumbled across this vid on how to carve a brisket - it's cringe worthy. After watching the injustice done onto this brisket, I started reading the comments. The YouTube comments on this are hilarious!
tony b
Brutal! Just Brutal. But, the D-bag did deserve every bit of it!!

ckreef
I think I could feed the Reef's with all the meat that came off when he was scraping the fat. I do like the way he separated the top from the bottom but I never cook a whole brisket as it's just too much meat for my family. tony b
Yeah, he got that part right, along with figuring out which way the grain went and cutting against it. It was just the butchering of that beautiful crust that was a capital offense!!
Cookie
Seriously, that had to be a guy trying to mess with people like us. Hopefully he is having a good chuckle as he reads through those comments, some of which made me laugh pretty hard.

At some point he mentions buying a precooked brisket from them. Definitely geared for the non brisket bbq chefs of the world. Cookie
We used to have a competition in our family to see who could watch Christmas Vacation the most times between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I think the most ever was up in the 40s, I never came close to that number, but I can quote just about everything in that movie and use Randy Quaid's one liners all the time.....love that show. Hope he eventually gets his life straightened out and starts making movies again.
tony b
That would be my family, only the movie is "Christmas Story." It even makes its way into the Christmas cooks. "He's smiling at me!"
Syzygies
He floored me at 0:20 when he managed to pick up his brisket by grabbing both ends. Huh? I would have eight pieces at that point.
tomahawk66
Seems quite an arse about front way of doing things: he trims the fat off the brisket AFTER cooking it?!? Thought you were supposed to do it before... Why bother with rub if you'll just cut it off afterwards? Oliver, In Singapore.
