I have an old one inherited from my mom. I use it for the kneading part (not a good enough baker to invest in a kitchen aid) for me it helps make it quicker and easier so I can bake more loaves, goodness knows I need the practice. I pull the dough ball out of the machine after several minutes and plop it into my parchment paper lined CI pan for the rise and bake.
