Alohapiggy Posted May 3, 2019 Author Report Posted May 3, 2019 Thanks Dennis. I appreciate all your help.
hammo1981 Posted May 3, 2019 Report Posted May 3, 2019 Post a video on the venting process. There was an excellent one on YouTube recently but I can't seem to find it any longer. It has to be Somone from this forum. I would like to see it again. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
2Club Posted May 4, 2019 Report Posted May 4, 2019 I was a little disappointed on my burn. Nothing happened. Just a few white spots, but the chicken was great. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Alohapiggy Posted May 4, 2019 Author Report Posted May 4, 2019 No bubbling around the tile and grout?
2Club Posted May 4, 2019 Report Posted May 4, 2019 None, but I might have misses one, I stayed up late to watch and had a 3rd martini 1
Alohapiggy Posted May 4, 2019 Author Report Posted May 4, 2019 Haha now u can start cooking all weekend long.

Better to have a disappointing burn in than an exciting one, especially with a 32. That is a lot of tiles and grout.
EGGARY Posted May 4, 2019 Report Posted May 4, 2019 I bet a lot of us KK owners owned a BGE and/or a KJ at one time. I owned an XL. The thing with the BGE is I spent as much or more on Accessories than I did on the BGE, along with building a Table. So do the Math.
Alohapiggy Posted May 4, 2019 Author Report Posted May 4, 2019 I’ve spent a lot on my egg accessories also. I really love cooking in my Kamado. To bad Kamado’s aren’t popular where I live. It’s difficult to find a good dealer or accessory stories.

I owned a KJ for about three months, then sold it to get my first KK. Haven’t looked back.
Alohapiggy Posted May 4, 2019 Author Report Posted May 4, 2019 If all goes well and I get the good word from Dennis. I’m posting my egg and it’s accessories for sale. My girlfriend is only allowing me to own one grill at the moment. The only thing I’m keeping is all my lump charcoal, mapp torch and entire cabinet full of seasonings.

Alohapiggy Posted May 4, 2019 Author Report Posted May 4, 2019 I really want a Komodo Kamado so I’ll let her win this round. Haha 2
2Club Posted May 4, 2019 Report Posted May 4, 2019 When my new 32 showed up I only got one dirty look from my wife. “Butt” I did tell her I would sell the BGE and the SS Hasty Bake. 1
tony b Posted May 4, 2019 Report Posted May 4, 2019 To the best of my knowledge, after almost 7 years on the Forum, no one has gotten divorced over buying a KK - just sayin'!! 1
Alohapiggy Posted May 4, 2019 Author Report Posted May 4, 2019 I hate/dread selling stuff Thur Facebook market or craigslist. Everyone wants to get something for free.

When all else fails.. there is always the It's easier to ask for forgiveness than to receive permission approach..
Alohapiggy Posted May 4, 2019 Author Report Posted May 4, 2019 I heard buying expensive jewelry also works as forgiveness tool. Haha 2
2Club Posted May 4, 2019 Report Posted May 4, 2019 Dennis, that has always worked in the past so Im sure it will work in the future
tony b Posted May 5, 2019 Report Posted May 5, 2019 All of the above have worked in the past - especially a compensating expensive gift of the spouse's choosing! 1
