  1. Decided do these on the Asado got a nice pichana..sliced the pichana with the grain and added some salt and purple Crack. .and put them on high up not to high though for a reverse sear ..Dee was right on to the salad. . Found this down the store but just ended up using the wraps lol ..and time for the sear and a bit for me lol . and rested I'm getting the hang of this thing check out the juices yum..I cut the picanha steaks with the grain to cook because I wanted to cut across the grain to get smaller slices for the wrap .just melted in my mouth..on goes the salad..then the meat..thought it needed a boost . 2. And so it begins. "Is it a BGE?". I overheard The Husband say they are the Bentleys of BGEs. I suspect he'll be saying that a few more times tonight! Here set up has gone well so far. On the 21", two shoulders of lamb on the main grate are sitting above two trays full of potatoes on the lower grate and going along nicely at 130C. Chicken on skewers for later grilling on the 23". I've dropped cod in cazuelas and chipolatas in basket in favour of the easy life and instead have salad and an enormous vegetarian curry to go alongside the grilled meat. Pics tomorrow probably, off for a nap now. Have a great new year's eve, wherever you all are.

  3. Bruce, we have two wells, one that is too salty for drinking and it is used for the toilet, shower, etc. and the good well for cooking, dishwasher, drinking, watering the plants, and kitchen sink and the bathroom vanity. Today I used bottled water to make 2 loaves of bread, one to give to a friend. My kitchen is a mess. The gift- The keeper- The crumb-

  4. Thanks! And that's just the bourbon stash. Won't show you the single malt whisky stash or you'd be booking a plane ticket to Cedar Rapids - LOL!!!

  6. Yeah, it does, especially when you get snowed in like us! This was the haul from the Bourbon Trail run 2 years ago. Most of it's gone, but a few still have some left in them. Can't seem to find the pic of last years haul?

  9. Was afraid to say it yesterday, but always remember - How do you know your contractor is lying to you about the budget and/or schedule? Their lips are moving! Regardless, nice looking loaves!

  10. You should have . post offices around the world are taking a bit hit as mail volumes drop because of the rise of the Internet .but online shopping is going full steam ahead so you think they would focus on the parcel side of things and get the tracking right .Tony b was a bit upset well not upset from the last package I sent him because I did not have a tracking number .I did not get one because I felt it was a waste of money for what it provided .now he can experience the frustration for real lol Outback kamado Bar and Grill

  12. I'm sensing some serious math skills hiding underneath this BBQ exterior? I underestimated you - my bad! That would be "tasty" bits in my book, but I suppose that's an English equivalent term, as they aren't very visually appealing typically. Not to be confused with "naughty bits!" LOL!!

  14. Tekobo, you can use the deflector stones as stepping stones in your allotment. They will be far more useful there. [emoji4]

  15. @Aussie Ora Yea they have the package. They wanted me to take a survey. I almost did. I wanted to tell them they needed to take lessons from USPS Tracking - LOL For all the crap people give USPS they do have the cheapest international shipping and the tracking usually follows it all the way to the destination.

  16. Tasty stuff indeed, Aussie! I visited their distillery last year and came home with this version. As a bourbon expert once told me - "Always buy cask strength if you can get it. Why pay them to water it down for you?" Oh, if you're wondering why it's not opened - I bought a few others while I was there, too!

  18. @ckreef - I drank most of the bottle of prosecco myself, after polishing off a bottle of wine with dinner, with a little help from my BIL. So, I was "festive" as well - LOL!! @Aussie Ora - Woo, Hoo! USPS acknowledges the tracking number!

  21. Sounds killer! I was drinking Bellini (peach nectar & prosecco) over the weekend. Your stuff might work, too. Worth a try! Ordered some stuff for you and Aussie's boxes. Should arrive next week, so I hope to get yours in the mail by week's end.
