I got an email from Sally at http://pepperberry.net.au/ and she said the freeze dried pepperberries (aka purple crack) were available again so I ordered a kilo of them. They are out for delivery today I have ordered from them in the past. They are easy to work with and the previous orders have been great. I need to keep this order locked up because as soon as my family and friends find out that I have resupplied they will be at my door looking for handouts!

A single rack of St. Louis spares underway using the two zone configuration of my 32. For those asking about the splitter, note that I’m using the 1/4 basket configuration to hold coco char, and this is more than enough for this cook at 275 for 4’ish hours. Leaving the coals exposed gives me the luxury of placing my peach wood chunks exactly where the flame zone is (rather than the usual Kamado wood chunk hit or miss routine).

I really want a Komodo Kamado so I’ll let her win this round. Haha

When my new 32 showed up I only got one dirty look from my wife. “Butt” I did tell her I would sell the BGE and the SS Hasty Bake.

More subversive tactics! 😃 I might have to dry run my pitch to the forum for constructive feedback as you're all full of bright ideas. @DennisLinkletter I've not been in touch as I think we've gone from the 23" to the 32" which had nothing to do with the forum's influence of course. I don't think another week will see us going to the 42" though.

That's not a bad plan. For an alternate plan threaten your wife with the 42" for a few months. Just don't stop talking about the 42" and showing her pictures. When you order the 32" instead she'll be relieved

We are having a stunning day today, sun, no wind, no bugs, the birds are singing, it's awesome. So what better thing to do than make an awesome cheeseburger on the KK. Made the rolls yesterday, previously ground a chuck roast and also made pickled red onions yesterday. I'm ready. I guess the site is not, I am unable to attach pixs. :(:(:( Here are the red onion rings pickling in salt, sugar, sherry vinegar with a bay leaf and cubano pepper. There is purple crack on this salad. K
