  1. Tried some American Wagyu Hanger Steak from Snake River Farms tonight. This was some of the best steak I’ve had. Not sure if was the meat or the new grill...🤔

  3. It's been 9 years since I raised the price of the 23" Ultimate.. It's been long overdue.. Prices need to go up again. The 32" has never had an increase since it was released 9 years ago September.. It's time has come too.. Just some writing on the wall for anyone considering ordering..

  4. Thank you very much sir! Having it fall on a weekend was a great excuse to line up another banquet. Just planning it now...

  5. Thanks- those are great tips. I was figuring on a 70-80 minute cooking time, a bit like a Roti chook at this size.

  7. We went without a drip pan for about 25 minutes then 2 hours with the drip pan. And my temp stayed a solid 380 the entire cook. When i did open it to insert the drip pan i did it fast but also closed down the vents just a little so the fire wouldn't run away from me. Then as mentioned earlier we removed the drip pan for the last 15 minutes. For the 3 to 3.5 pounder I would think you may only need 30 minutes with the drip pan. We pulled this off with an internal temp of about 125 on one end and 135 on the other. The carry over took care of bringing the lower side up to 140. And the side that carried over higher than my target of 140 was still really good. The only thing i will do different next time is leave out the smoke pot for better fire control. And maybe pay better attention to the fire ,instead of paying all of my attention to my guest, while we were cooking. But we did have 2 hours to fill while it was cooking

  8. Congrats @jonj! I suspect I won't live long enough to make a 46th wedding anniversary. We celebrate our 18th this weekend. Gentle but satisying cook last night. I have tried to cook lamb chops tandoori style quite a few times and have not got it right. Largely because I have left the meat exposed to the flame. The smell of burning fat is not great and I finally gave up after The Husband said my previous attempt tasted of petrol of all things! This time I used a drip pan and cooked the chops for longer. Much much better result.

  9. Over the last 35 years I've been shipping containers to the US from Indonesia, I've paid as little as $2,250 and as much as $6,400 for the sea freight. It costs another $1,800 to clear customs and have the container delivered and unloaded. Sea freight charges: Surabaya to Long Beach/Los Angeles May 2019 2,850 May 2020 4,200 May 2021 6,900 Mid 2021 9,400 June 1st 2021 11,900 August 15th - 31st $19,500!! Validity only two weeks will go up again... I've been eating it up to now.. but will be forced to add a "Sea Freight Surcharge" to all new orders. And will need to start shipping the grills in two crates so we can stack the smaller ones.
