  1. You could make a football shaped meatloaf with that thing. Cool.

  2. One of the things you can do with the Fireboard is check your temperatures when you're 100 miles away. Useless? Not really. It's more likely you'll be at a store or visiting and not only can you check pit and meat temps, you can tell it to go from 230 to 250 degrees remotely. Naturally this only works if you have a fan running. Setup is so easy it should be against the law. You input your wifi password and that's it. I also had the Cyber Q and and figured it was forged in Hell. Like jeffshoaf I had a horrible time getting it to send notifications if I was over 50 feet from it. They all have their pros and cons, but I've yet to have any trouble with Fireboard.

  3. Hi @Poochie. No, I did not get the pizza stone for the 16. It won't be a 16 inch pizza either. See below for dimension of the main grate.

  4. Okay, just to verify: the BBQ Guru fan and connecting cable are compatible for use with the Fireboard 2 Pro? BTW, I agree with David about the Thermoworks products- in my experience, very high quality. I have given away the Thermoworks pen probe so much that I've accidently sent friends/family doubles!

  5. Sorry @Poochie I am not going to give you the positive response that you would like. I find that the Bambino takes longer to get going. The air flow in the 23 and 32 gets the fire going quicker. I tend to need to go back to the 16 a couple of times to ensure it is lit and that takes more time. You will also end up with a relatively small pizza. All in all, I would recommend a 23 as a second KK if you already have a 32 and not the 16. I have all three but I accept that is a bit excessive!

  6. Me too. I was mowing an elderly neighbor's yard, my Dad's yard and mine for a while. Rest assured if Tony is planting something it's for stuffing those left handed cigarettes.

  7. I mow, I shovel and I plant. Since I retired I don’t have an excuse not to do it anymore lol

  8. Totally spaced on the beer thing - oops! Beer made with seawater - and not pasteurized - a recipe for an intestinal disaster. "The only beer in the world brewed using sea water for unparalleled purity" I don't know what sea they are referring to, but I'd never refer to that water as "pure!" Fish do poop you know! 🤣

  9. Has been a bit cool lately, so I've slacked off cleaning the grates as part of my shutdown process the last few cooks. Heading into Spring next week with temps in the 50s to maybe up to 70! So, some opportunity to do some KK maintenance - inside and out. @Poochie - While I don't mow (HATE IT!), I do snowblow the drive and plant all my flowers, tomatoes, etc. Just sayin' 😄

  10. Feast to famine! Took advantage of the weather yesterday (cooler than the 62F we had on Saturday, but I could have done without the tornadoes - 7 dead, including 2 kids! 😢) to do a nice Prime Sirloin. Direct, lower grate, mesquite wood chunks. Plated with a nice 2x baked spud, sauteed mushrooms and chimichurri sauce. Nice side salad of cherry tomatoes - the yellow ones are off my hydroponic plant! So now to the famine part. This is what I woke up to this morning! Welcome to Springtime in Iowa! Folks, THIS is why you buy a cover for your KK!
