  1. @MacKenzie - stunning colors on that plate shot. And as for "token", sometimes less is more and this is definitely the time for less! SV or not, this is just a great cook. Thanks, kudos, and congrats!
  2. Keep the faith, Tony! Keep the faith.
  3. I'm in. Next! How much and when can I give you my CC number?
  4. MacKenzie - that pizza pie rivals anything I've seen here! Really a beautiful pizza. And that bottom crust is to die for. Just beautiful. Congrats and kudos on making the best of a difficult situation! your commentary was good for a few deep chuckles!
  5. Wilbur - Ca-Ching! That's pure money, 24 karat money! What a great looking money shot! Kudos all over this great pizza pie. Wonderful cook. Very nicely done. Thanks for posting.
  6. I "let" other folks mow my lawn, vacuum and dust my house, etc. It's my way of supporting the economy without paying any more taxes to the government and having the government take its cut. I find it much more efficient this way!
  7. I thought it was "Abcess makes the fart go Honda!" Oh, my bad. That's the punch line for an old joke. Sorry, wrong thread!
  8. Tony - cutting the grass is your "quiet" time? Really? Think about that for a moment!
  9. Tony - yard work? You have my deepest sympathies! I mowed lawns starting at 8 years old and continued it until I was 18. I swore I'd never own another mower, edger, rake, etc. Im a man of my word. I keep Jesus and the boys really busy, they kelp me in tamales, and I keep them in BBQ. Works out all around!
  10. @Enginerd - here's your link! http://komodokamadoforum.com/forum/42-see-a-kk-in-your-area/
  11. @Enginerd - as was said above, the KK must be personally seen and touched to begin to understand it. Pictures of the Grand Canyon don't even remotely do it justice. Same with a KK. there is a thread dealing KK owners who will welcome guests to see their KK. All you have to do is use the search function. I'd do it for you and post the link, but I'm resource limited at the moment. Call Dennis. We've all done it and he's the Man With The Plan. He can guide you, answer all your questions, and help you find the easiest way to put a KK on your patio. If you're ever near Oklahoma City, OK, let me know through the Forum here and I can promise you I'll not miss the opportunity to showcase Beauty! and TheBeast.
  12. Tony - beautiful set up you have there. Gorgeous backyard. You've gotta have some teenagers that love doing yard work!;) Very nice rib cook. Sometimes simple is best. Kudos to ya up there!
  13. Beautiful cook, Charles. In fact, it's mouth watering! Kudos and congrats to both you and Suzy.
  14. Aint love grand? Congrats and kudos you two! You guys give me hope.
  15. Certainly looks good to this Okie! Very nice cook! As @ckreef said in his post, the KK is so dadgummed efficient in its airflow, it's hard to put the fire out without really trying to snuff it. I always start every cook with a full basket of lump. I'd also encourage you to take a Saturday, get a bag of cheap lump, a cooler of cold beer, and learn the vent control settings that yield the most common cooking temps. I'd start at 225 and work my way to 500 in increments of 25 degrees. Once you hit a specified temp, make note of the bent settings and let your KK stabilize at that temp for aout 30 minutes. You'll get to know very quickly that airflow controls your fire and the more airflow, the more fire, and thus the higher the temperature.
  16. ckreef! Great idea! My mouth is watering so much I've changed drool bibs TWICE! Try boiled cabbage with some bacon fat thrown in the boiling water. Boil until relatively tender, about 3-5 minutes, and serve with corned beef and it'll make you throw stones at your kids.
  17. That is one of the classics in comedy! Great skit! Larry, Curley, and Moe were masters of physical comedy! Thanks.
  18. Come to the Dark Side @parisbrownep! You know you want to … it's just a matter of time. Welcome aboard!:)
  19. This should be good! Looking forward to seeing these first pics, Danny.
  20. @Danny B - welcome to The KK Forum and welcome to The Obsession! Your Mom must love you so very much. I've got two kids and I'm not giving them Beauty! and TheBeast, my 2 KKs, until I start to assume room temperature! You are going to love your new KK!
  21. Dennis - is your latest post the Internet equivalent of the "Pet the Puppy!" sale? Those pics are just gorgeous. I want one, I want one, I want one! BUT … I must resist!
  22. Charles - touch 'em all and take a bow … you knocked this cook into the cheap seat! Beautifully done. Gorgeous color on that crust. Best I've seen in a long time. Kudos and kudos and kudos again my friend!
  23. Those will be some pix that I'm looking forward to seeing!
  24. That's simply stunning! Wow, that's gorgeous teak flooring. Given what I know about Dennis and quality on the KK, why would anyone expect anything less than world class?
  25. Coco Char is the absolute best charcoal I've ever used. I hoard my stash like it'll never be made. For everyday cooks, I use FOGO, but if money were really no problem, I'd use nothing but CoCo Charcoal.
