That my friend was an over the top cook. I have made a similar pineapple boat but used it more for presentation. Using it as an actual cooking vessel is just brilliant. Will definitely do this cook sometime in the future. P.S. In the south east states we call those country ribs.
  2. Yes we need more pizza pictures.
  3. Can't wait to see your pizzas. On the side note: just means you have to wing it from memory and hope for the best. I'm sure it will be fantastic either way. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  4. Regardless of the tile choice they all look much better in person. Pictures just don't do the tiles/pebbles justice.
  5. Terra Cota Blue - just sayin ........
  6. TY tinyfish I will definitely be trying this cook soon.
  7. Come now throw something out there. I'm just running through all the different pizza varieties I know how to cook so everyone knows what's possible. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  8. Very nice looking burger.
  9. Awesome - it's small but for the price you can't really go wrong. A fun little grill. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  10. Very yummy looking pie.
  11. Late to the party but really nice looking steak.
  12. Wow that looks really good. I've never cooked that before but I want to give it a try. May sound like a stupid request but do you have a recipe for the crepes. Never made crepes before - DOH .....
  13. Reef's Junk Pie A Sicilian style pan pizza with soft fluffy dough. Done in the Backyard Bistro Junk Pie fashion (put on any thing you got).

  16. I say go for it - you'll be the #trifecta king - don't pay any attention to me bosco - LOL
  17. Full Monty Shot is good it just adds a little depth to the picture if you shoot from an angle rather than straight overhead. Just a little angle helps to show the height of the food instead of looking 2 dimensional from the top. I'm not talking a direct 90° like I've done with my recent pizza pictures. Just come down maybe 30° Everyone's milage may very but give it a try on your next full Monty shot and see what you think.
  18. That Dark Autumn Nebula looks really nice.
  19. Just regular lump. Small pieces from the bottom of the bag. Gets way hot enough to scorch anything if you're not careful. I looked into the Binchotan but way to expensive for my wallet. As for Coco charcoal I think you would have to break it up way too small. Also it's a much slower burning charcoal and you really want the glowing coals to spread as quick as possible to have even heat. With that said I'll probably give it a try one day just to see.
  20. My delivery guy unloaded in the street and then used the pallet jack to get it about 200' down a gravel driveway. He actually offered to do that. I tipped him - he tried to refuse it. Most delivery guy are willing.
  21. Was thinking of preparing a bunch of mini kabobs both proteins and veggies. Also have a bunch of different basting/dipping sauces to choose from. Set it out and let everyone go to town. Could even set out some different spice/seasoning blends. Me and Mrs skreef will probably do some version of this maybe Saturday night.
  22. Nice tuna cook. Pictures look good. One thing I learned is rarely are straight overhead shots optimum for a plate of food. Add a little angle and it'll give the food some depth.
  23. Didn't know where to post this but I am doing some cooking. ....................... Nope not a kamado. A Yakatori grill (table top ceramic hibachi). Have wanted one for a while now. Mrs skreef got this for me for my birthday. This is sort of the Akorn version of a Yakatori grill but at only $70 delivered couldn't really go wrong. Me and Mrs skreef figured if we liked it and used it a lot we would eventually upgrade to the high end version. I was going to do full unpacking pictures but that seemed like a waste of time. The grill was surrounded by foam, in a box that was surrounded by foam in a second box. Very well packed. Did an initial test burn. After that was out I filled it for the cook. In hind sight the test was not enough lump but the fill up was probably a little too much. It's a learning curve. I wasn't prepared to do kabobs last night but that wasn't going to stop me with new grill. I scrounged up some fixins. Beef tenderloin chunks, orange honey shrimp and some other goodies. First cooked the "veggies". On goes the protein. This was fun. Everything cooked quickly. Will probably start doing the self serve/self cook style of dinner in the future. Just lay out a variety of small kabobs and let everyone sit around and cook for themselves at their own pace.
  24. Thanks tinyfish - I love my bike. Runs as good as it looks and sounds even better - knock on wood.......... Took over half my life and I had to loose both parents to get it (bought with some inheritance money) but every time I ride it I think about my parents - so Yea I show it off a bit.
  25. Cat would also work I'm sure. If you're not kewl with cat just don't order Brunswick Stew from a Chinese restaurant - LOL
