LOL - yesterday on the way home from the BBQ Festival me and skreef were talking about various Kamados and about KK's. I made a prediction to her about when I thought you would pull the trigger and make the order. When it comes to pass I'll let you know how close I was with that prediction.

32" Cobalt Blue in Brookfield IL - Best Offer ;-)

Give me a hot pink KK and I'll be happier than any other kamado - of course Mrs skreef will probably claim it as hers and then I'm back at the starting point. - LOL -

I'll differ from everyone's advice. Grab the KK deal where you can. Every tile/pebble choice looks kick ass, you won't be disappointed with whatever you land. Grab the deal while you can- get cooking on a KK immediately. -
The delivery company never called to make an appointment. I ended up with about 1 hour notice. Fortunately I work close to home so I busted out of work and drove down the street to my house with the delivery truck following me.

My son is a serious md rare burger dude. I'll do them that way when I grind my own but basically well done if store bought. Will have to change up my formula after reading Dennis' post.

Great job tinyfish, I knew I was scared for a reason. I've never done a breakfast pizza but I've been meaning to. A really tasty looking pizza and great pictures. Looks like the deflector worked well and its massive thickness should allow for multiple back to back pizzas without it cooling down much in between.

That is the famous Grilled Peach Reef Jam. Unfortunately that idea came way late in the peach season so I didn't get to make very much. No worries - next year I'll start earlier and make enough to send a bunch out. We worked late that day and got the bad news that we had to get up at 3:15 am the next morning for an early start at work. We were just scrambling to get something quick and easy together so we could get to bed. Next time it will have gravy. Mrs skreef makes a mean white pepper gravy that will work good mixed down in the sausage layer. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

TY tomahawk66We try and go out for breakfast or lunch once a week on Saturday or Sunday weather permitting. It's usually a 4 or 6 hour adventure. We work long hours so weekdays are tough. Dennis does do custom colors all you need to do is find ceramic tiles in the appropriate size. I had thought about trying to match the bike but never looked for the right tiles. It actually has a faint color changing, racing checkered horse logo on the gas tank. If I could find dark maroon with that type of sparkle in the tile it would look awesome. It's purple and gold color changing. Hard to get a good picture of it. Here is one but the picture doesn't really do it justice.

Start with some sausage. A layer of grits. Add some bacon. Scrambled eggs. Cheddar cheese. In the Komodo. Served with toast and some Grilled Peach Reef Jam. Not a bad 1st attempt but next time I'll make a few improvements.

I hope I didn't scare everyone away by slamming a few back to back pizza cooks. I took the enter as many times as you want and ran with it. So far I really haven't posted anything special. I still have a few more to cook and post before I'm done. -
That should work. Use it up high and give it a good heat soak.

Roasted Peppers and Peaches with SV Eye of Round Dinner

Very nice - those grilled peaches look awesome. -
Very nice - with that very first peak inside the crate you know you made the right Decision.

Yea I scrounged the money and worried about paying it back later. At this point everything has been paid back and it was only a minor bump in life.

I'm a Beatles and Stones fan. I've been listening to classic rock and alternative my whole life. I listen to more modern rock and alternative lately (just getting tired of the same old same old)

That's basically what I was thinking. Do a quick griddle or pan sear on all the sides of the country ribs before putting them in there. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

Funny thing - even if you accidentally get sent the wrong color you're going to immediately fall in in love with it because they all look so good.

The Blackstone is still easier and faster than any kamado so that is still my preferred pizza oven. This contest requires the front Komodo Kamado logo to be in the picture so for August all pizzas are done on the KK.

Here is the basic (easy) version of the recipe. For this cook I used fresh vegetables instead of frozen and rabbit instead of pork. Still good either way. I never posted the recipe on Guru as there was already a good video recipe John had posted. http://www.komodokamadoforum.com/index.php?/topic/5295-Easy-DO-Brunswick-Stew#entry49741

TY bosco - the Sunday night pizza thread really propelled me into homemade pizza. That thread lasted so long that it almost burned me out from making pizzas. I took a break but now I'm back on this little pizza contest. Also with the purchase of the Blackstone Pizza Oven I stopped cooking them on a kamado. This is really good getting back into it on the kamado. One side benefit is I need the practice for the Guru challenge series when pizza gets picked.

That's a totally awesome gift. The wait on the Texas leg shouldn't be bad. Have you figured out the Mexico leg yet?

Tinyfish you did it again. Everything I can do to keep up with you.
