  1. I would definitely want to keep that in the lineup. Mine is something similar. I use it about twice a month. There is something fun taming the live fire. I use it for more than just pizzas.
  2. It's Raneir Cherry season again. They are a hybrid cherry with very limited harvest. You will only be able to get them another 2 weeks or so. Get em while you can. If you've never had a Raneir cherry they are super sweet and taste more like a peach than a cherry. Mother Nature's finest candy. Do yourself a favor and get some while you can. Warning: Raneir Cherries are extremely addictive - you've been warned 6 lbs Just shy of 5 lbs. Pitted, cut in half, and ready for the first freezer stage.
  3. Are we talking a Wood Fired Oven or some strange pizza only oven? Can you post the picture or link.? I have 2 KK's, Primo Oval Jr, gas griddle, Konro Yakitori grill, and a Wood Fired Oven so if your asking me I wood keep the pizza oven as long as it's not some strange pizza only oven. My KK's are my everyday work horses. The Konro Yakitori grill and the Wood Fired Oven is my fun weekend grills.
  4. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again - LOL Although I think I would want my money back from the first attempt. ..........?......... After further inspection of the return slip, let's talk about this "The item was sent by Browning Roy" Who is Browning Roy?
  5. Unfortunately that's a choice we don't get to make. Mostly it depends on where in the US the package originates. Every package I've sent you (except that one) went out through Miami. Miami is definitely a better route to Australia.
  6. Yea but we all wish we did have one that size Even me, King of the small kamado
  7. KK's are so well insulated that the air flow is a bare minimum to maintain low-n-slow temperatures. Because of this products like the Amazin pellet tube doesn't really work. May I suggest the Cold/Hot Smoker from Dennis? It will give you what you're looking for at low-n-slow temperatures. I have used RO and it's small pieces for many years without fail. Because KK's have a lump basket and all air must flow through the basket those small pieces will work without issue. With that said there are other lumps on the market that way out perform RO and have a way better mix of pieces straight out of the bag. Compared to a KK, lump costs nothing so don't skimp on the lump. Just for reference - I used RO for years even before I bought my first kamado. At this point I'll never buy it again.
  8. On the way home from vacation we swung through Lane Packing and picked up a box of peaches. 25 lbs of Sunland variety. It's a hybrid semi-cling peach so we'll see how easy they are to deal with. (freestones won't be available for maybe another month) These were picked within the last day or two. I have them layed out in the back room so they can finish ripening. Most of these will be peeled, cut up, then frozen for future use. When the freestones become available we'll go back for another box or two.
  9. Nobody needs to panic just yet. That one package I sent Aussie got lost in the Bermuda triangle for a bit but eventually showed up. (5-6 weeks if I remember correctly)
  10. Let's just say a few of you keep me busy from time to time
  11. I'll agree with @Pequod. Made that cook a bunch of times. Tastes great and hard to mess up.
  12. I totally agree. I've been taking a Jr sized kamado on vacation for a few years now. Unfortunately even the 16" KK is just a bit heavy to be lugging around. For ceramic grills Primo's are top quality and this GO setup is easy enough to transport. With its 1/2 oval deflectors, main grates and upper grates it is very versatile. Couldn't be happier with the purchase for a vacation kamado. I do think one vacation I'm going to take my konro grill. Not as versitle but plenty of fun.
  13. What do you put on your customs declaration? I go as vague as possible. If you strickly follow the rules some of what I ship is not supposed to ship without special labeling. You know, liquids, perishables, glass...... What they don't know never hurt them.
  14. @tony b come now you know what they say - I guess it really didn't happen. Try again - this time use a camera - LOL
  15. Went on vacation to my sister's house in FL. In the past I always took an Akorn Jr. This is the first time I got to take my Primo Oval Jr. Packed in the car and ready to go. Monday he was caught lounging pool side. While pool side I put him to work cooking Brunswick Stew and ABT'S. Dinner was served with summer Slaw and Mrs skreef's famous Cornbread muffin tops. Tuesday we went off to the beach then came back and went out for all you can eat blue crabs. Later that evening we had fresh Blueberry Cobbler The Oval Jr was easy enough to transport and didn't take up too much room in the car. We have a pretty full schedule for the next couple of days so that's all the action he'll see. Very pleased with the Oval Jr as my new vacation kamado
  16. "you have an immune system - use it" LOL I've watched some other videos of his and his cadence about drives me crazy. The anchovies and baking soda are interesting additions.
  17. Mrs skreef is scared if I got one I would load her up in that rotisserie basket - LOL
  18. @Aussie Ora the pepper berries arrived today. I was not home but had a lady from work pick them up for me. They are safe and sound - can't wait to get home.
  19. All is good Aussie. Glad to see everything arrived intact. That wild raspberry is very tasty. I knew you would like it.
  20. I'm a big fan of Marabu. It looked like Marabu which is why I asked. I'm down to 2 bags. Hopefully it'll come back in stock soon at Fogo.
  21. @Flemming great looking spin. What type of lump do you have down in there?
