  1. Totally agree with that. I've never had a problem with low-n-slow in the KK, even going off riding the motorcycle for a few hours during the day while doing a low-n-slow. I always got back home and the temperature was basically where I left it. The main goal is using it with my Oval Jr Go setup when I take that on vacation. Would love a more set it and forget it for that situation. It's sort of an added bonus that it'll also plug right into the KK. I wonder has anybody used a controller and the cold smoker at the same time? My KK only has a Guru port but I'm going to call Dennis and see about getting a cold smoker retrofit kit to add a cold smoker port.
  2. That's not a bad plan. For an alternate plan threaten your wife with the 42" for a few months. Just don't stop talking about the 42" and showing her pictures. When you order the 32" instead she'll be relieved
  3. Well I pulled the trigger and ordered a CyberQ Cloud. Hopefully will give it a try next weekend.
  4. Definitely want to hear what you think about it being a brand new user. I'm about to order one any day now.
  5. Just curious how well you like it? Have you ran it in straight hot spot mode without connecting to a router? If so what distance did you get? Have you ever used a 12v battery or 2 x 6v with their jumper cord. Did you have problems with it disconnecting? Does the pit viper fan push directly into my Guru port without any adapter? I ask all this because I want to buy a controller for my Primo Oval Jr for when I go on vacation. If I'm going to spend this kind of money I want it to also work for my 19" KK. This controller seems like it will fit that requirement.
  6. Title asks the question. Does anyone use a CyberQ Cloud or other controller?
  7. The full lineup: 19" KK 16" KK Primo Oval Jr with GO cradle LG 30" Konro Yakitori grill Wood fired oven 2 burner 18" propane griddle Propane outdoor wok (rarely gets used) Akorn Jr (almost never gets used) The wood fired oven and the Konro are the two fun grills. 2 kamados is a requirement so you can cook at 2 different temperatures. I thought everyone knew that - J/K - but not really For me it's not one in - one out. It's more of a where can I put the next grill? I'm pretty much out of space now but I'm sure if the right grill came around I'd figure out where to put it. Mrs skreef probably wouldn't agree to another grill but that hasn't stopped me yet - LOL
  8. TY tony - Mrs skreef who isn't really fond of shrimp scarfed it down. She wouldn't even let me steal one of her shrimp.
  9. Fresh grated ginger all the way The small cup was 2 tsp of brown sugar. The little bottle next to the pasta is Japanese pepper sent to me from a KK owner living in Japan.
  10. You sure know how to make a burger look 5 star. Great job.
  11. ODK - outdoor kitchen BTW I have a 19" and 16" KK. Works fine for me and Mrs skreef. Of course I have a few other BBQ toys to supplement those.
  12. Welcome to the forum. Can't wait to see what you come up with for a ODK.
  13. Fusion Madness challenge cook. Japanese flavored Shrimp and veggies cooked on a Konro grill handmade in Japan. Basic scampi cooked on a Komodo Kamado grill handmade in Indonesia. The basic ingredients. Some basic prep work. Ginger and garlic marinated shrimp. Snow Peas seasoned with a Japanese pepper mix. Grilling the shrimp and snow peas on the Japanese Konro grill. Basic scampi cooking on the Komodo Kamado. This is the first time I've pan cooked pasta like this. Dinner is served.
  14. It was handmade in Portugal by a company called Impex Fire. I bought it from Authentic Pizza Ovens from Scottsdale, AZ. This is the installation thread. About 1/2 way through the thread is where it gets lifted up onto the stand.

I've worried about that ever since Trump took office. Hasn't affected it yet. Fingers crossed But I won't take any more chances. Konro only (except vacation at my sister's house) until I can start buying more..
  16. Awesome looking cook. I'm jealous.

I just called Fogo. Nothing to do with the relationship between the US and Cuba. They are just out of stock. Last time they were out of stock it took about 6 weeks to restock. No worries I have about 5 bags out in the shed I did use it for a low-n-slow butt yesterday. Took a few extra minutes to get going but was a nice stable cook in the end. No extra smoke from the lump. When it comes back in stock I'll get back on my once a week buying spree.
  18. Looks like it worked and dinner looked delicious but you do own 2 KK's?? (I know you own 2 KK's, that's not the question)
  19. Never had Artic Char. Looks delicious.
  20. Not in a grill just on the side panel of the porch. I use all my grills to often for critters to make a nest.
  21. Cute unless she bites you. Of course you're in Australia so that is a wimpy spider. LOL -
  22. Crappy pictures but this is what I saw when I looked down.
  23. It is not necessary to leave the lid open. Closing the lid with the vents open will cause a bigger draft pulling air up through the coals. I never leave the lid open for any amount of time @MacKenzie I got you covered - no worries.
