  1. Although I can't see this image, I wonder if it's the same one on Curly's Facebook page?
  2. Looks like the smoke pot was the better choice.
  3. I remember using a devise that used a vac and a 5 gallon bucket filled with water for drywall sanding. Kinda like a giant bong, whatever that is. Anyway it worked great at keeping the dust out of the first and second floors when I was finishing the basement.
  4. I use an old Weber spatula. I just put an aluminum steam table pan underneath and scootch the ash out. I remove the lump saver basket to get most of it moved forward towards the opening.
  5. Congrats on the purchase TR, I have the exact tile pattern, really sparkles in the sunshine. Trouble is, we've been mostly cloudy and rainy for the most part of the month so far! Doesn't bother with the "Q" at all though!
  6. Way to go Finn! Ain't good cookin fun!?!Wish I would have been there to sample the goods!
  7. did it have to do with burnt facial hair?
  8. Well Jasen, have you made any revisions for your starter? I need to give my Father-in-law a project! I feel safe in asking this now that he finally got rid of his last back-hoe!
  9. If we could get some of this stuff pressed into a burnable shape, I'd buy it! http://www.jmkenterprises.co.in/coconut ... arcoal.htm
  10. I've about 12 boxes left, Fetz, any more in Cedar Rapids? I can swing buyin the rest now!!
  11. Your a good man Syz! No disrespect intended, all in good fun! I have been humbled by your methods many times!
  12. Don't suppose you do any duck hunting down there do you?
  13. I used to complain to my hunny," why do you bring home these end cut strip steaks?" We own a prime meat market, I don't sell these end cuts because of the sinew running through the steak. The first night I grilled them on the KK I was amazed at the tenderness, granted they were USDA Prime, but the "sinew" absolutely dissolved! That and the added wood chips gave them a positively sublime flavor and texture profile. Maybe this can be accomplished with other "ceramics", All I can base my experience on is the KK! Three words...GO FOR IT! Why on God's Green Earth would anyone shell out over 3 g's for a Wolf gasser (like my best friend! Who has had numerous issues with it right out of the gate) when this appliance is so much more versatile? And customer service? Dennis invented the word! KK sells a few every week and Dennis manages to talk to everyone who has issues from color selection to mathematical equations involving thermal load and expansion rates. And when he ramps up to hundreds per week, you should expect no less! Forgive my rambling. I've drunk the koolaide, as well as a fair amount of gin!
  14. For what it's worth, here is a dual sensor from Polder, works good enough if YOU are the only one using the KK and the OTHER person in your life knows to keep it out of the flames, or to tuck the probe into the protective sleeve I bought! http://www.polder.com/894-90.html
  15. I found a huge spatula from Weber at our local Backyard BBQ store,( a good friend from where I almost bought a BGE) I can usually lift an entire pork butt with one. Works great for whole chix too.
  16. Why can't a bumble bee fly? Sometimes indomitable spirit overtakes logic and reason. Although I must say the older I get, the frequency of over planning overtakes raw strength(stubbornness).
  17. I just replaced my competitor that I bought from Tobias(Tlinder).Trust me, the fan works great at starting the charcoal if nothing else!
  18. I love to consume beautiful food! That my friend is a masterpiece.
  19. Well I guess there are always parasites to worry about. I'm never far from a bottle of Tabasco sauce!
  20. I use this cut almost exclusively for jerky. Occasionally I will take a few thin slices from the part you like to roast and eat them slightly warmed up in my hand. The first half of the piece is great for stir fry as well. It has to be a great roast and the seasoning you use looks great.
  21. I had a chance to assemble a cooker with this tile scheme earlier this year. Wasn't sure I'd like the color or texture until I actually saw/felt it in person. Very warm and the matte finish gave it a soft appearance. Nice choice dude,do you think that "Kindling" unit will be compatible?
