  1. Agree: No need to mop or brine a shoulder or butt. Just sit back and tip a few. Then get a good nights sleep and take off when done in the morning.
  2. Add me the the happy plug owners. Work and look a lot better the my foil one. The one with the holes works great the Guru probes go through very easy. Nice work Thanks
  3. That is a great looking cooker.
  4. I have a Guru. I only use it for long cooks, 29 lb chuck roll, briskets, butts. I had trouble with my two #7POSKs with the Kansas winds so I brought a Guru. I still use it with my KK just for a good night sleep. With the KK easy of temp control a Guru is just for peace of mind.
  5. TNW is right it has NOTHING to do with the the kk site.
  6. That is sooooooooooooooooooo true they do train us well.
  7. black or clear would be fine with me. Mine now is al2 foil color, didn't cost much.
  8. Look close the top is in the upper part of picture with a bird bath on top. It has crack competently thru from the damper to the base. It is about done.
  9. My side table while it lasts. How long?????????
  10. Legal there. Been there, done that, but DID NOT inhale.
  11. MY wife I prefer the taste of cooking direct or indirect. The KK does such a great job that the rostis is really not needed. It does add another method of cooking that lots of people enjoy. We just won't use it that much.
  12. It's sold Thanks for the interest it is sold.
  13. I have an E-Z Que setup for an OTB that has the heavy duty electric motor that has been used 3 time for sale. I would take $100 plus $15 for shipping in the USA. If interested send me a PM.

    Hello

Welcome Don. You and I are one of the VERY FEW who have gotten replacements from the OTHER place. Mine took 8 months and MUCH BS to get the replacement MPOS. Ordered a OTB before I received my replacement. Sold the MPOS and now am a VERY HAPPY CAMPER.
  15. Great news. Just what the best cooker in world should have.
  16. Welcome to the group of the best cooker. You will be VERY happy it is so easy to control and doesn't use that much lump. Very happy camper with mine.
  17. I sold my replacement #7 with both side tables old top hat and meat hanger for $700. I had ordered a Deluxe OTB before I sold it. Was lucky to get rid of it quickly at a good price. VERY HAPPY CAMPER NOW.
  18. Welcome Welcome to the group of owners of the best cooker in the world the KK.
  19. Drunk_J is right I called and just ordered the inducer tube. I think it was about $15 plus shipping. Naked Whiz review page 9 is picture of one lower left.
  20. Guru inducer tube The only thing I had to buy was the inducer tube. It fits inside the tube made in the KK. I cleaned to plug, had to do a little filing on the plate outside to get the inducer tube to slide through the opening. Used silicone to hole it in place. The Naked Whiz has instructions on page 9 and 10 of his review of his KK.
  21. The ramp features works very well with the KK. I use the Guru for long overnights since I don't trust the Kansas winds. The Kk works great without using the Guru, just piece of mind and good nights sleep with one.
  22. I think to recipe for ATB come from the Green Egg forum long before it was on the K forum.
  23. I agree with the pork butt for the first cook. Brisket is not as forgiving as butts. You can learn to adjust you temps better doing to butts. I cook my pork butts at 235 to 250 at it still about 1 1/2 hrs /lb. I use a Guru with 10 cfm fan for long over nights cooks, works great. You will love the food and your KK. It is not a long learning curve. You can get a lot of good advice on the forum. Welcome to the group with the Greatest cooker. I don't use a water in the pan. I use a kiln shelf for a heat defector and a old baking pan to catch the dripping on the lower grill. I fill the basket with lump. What you don't use during the cook you can use the next time.
