Maybe an obliging tornado could pick some up in CA and drop it off in Kansas for you? I've heard those Kansas tornadoes take houses and dogs and little girls to whole different lands!
Problem getting tracking numbers on tornado's. They seem to have a mind of their own.
Sanny you are right.
New arrived today it is a upgrade from my old OTB wanted a Supreme Plus in the TerraCotta but Dennis didn't have the tiles in stock. So him being a Very nice man he gave me a good price on a Genn II Ult. in stock. The changes Dennis has made are GREAT.
My $ worth
I have had 2 K7's and 1KK OTB, will soon have a GenII OTB. The difference between the K & the KK are to numerous to state here. Just do some reading on this forum and the kamadofraud forum. You will not go wrong by spending the extra for a KK, most of the extras are included with the KK.
You will also not have problems with customer service or communication with the KK company.
A VERY HAPPY CAMPER with my KK.
GregR is correct about Sweetmaria's also a great source for information about home roasting and equipment. Another good source is http://burmancoffee.com/.
Welcome to the group. Use lump or try the new KK coal coming in the future,(hope, hope). If you can get Royal Oak it is much better than Cowboy. Check The Naked Whiz site for the charcoal rating. Great site for information on cookers and recipes.
Had both cooker, 2K's and about to get my second KK. Both cook great food but the KK is one great cooker.
The Benzomatic torches work great. I use a T3000 from Wal-mart at about $31 also have the Harbor Freight one. Like the Benzomatic one is better. The cheap one does not seem to shut off and the bottles don't last long for me.
I got my kiln shelfs from a local pottery supply store. They a very strong. I just crank up the heat to clean them. Don't know about drilling holes in them. Might be easy when they a new/
Butt looks great nice job.
The kiln shelfs I use a round 15" they will take very high heat. Look the same size that came with my KK. Have used the same 2 since 2001. I Wish that I had saved a couple of the half shelfs where we stopped doing pottery.
