I don't think it would hold 4 big butts. Should be no problem holding a couple of 8 pounders. It came with the 4 clamps. You can get all four on the cradle and use different angles to hold things down. It will be a while before I get to use it.

Here is a picture of the 8 inch cradle I received. It appears that the hold down clamps will clamp smaller foods down well. I have not gotten my order placed as yet for the KK parts so I cannot try it yet. May be a little while headed to AZ for a couple of weeks pretty soon.

Very nice. Looks great.

Very nice you have made me VERY HUNGRY.

Meat hanger Sanny you may want to put your chicken breast down on your meat hanger. The few times I used mine the breast down the legs and thighs came out better. I thought that I wasted money by getting the meat hanger, the rod was to short for turkey over 12 lbs. I let the meat hanger go with the k when I sold it. Just my half a cent worth I am trying my first whole duck this weekend.

It is much like a meat loaf. It is a recipe that his family has been making for years. Here is a picture of it sliced.

Tonights ham loaf from the only meat market in town. Very good. Added a few things, garlic, a little Dizzy Dust and cooked at 350. Saturday a 25 lb chuck roll.

Welcome to the fast growing group of KK owners. It is one great cooker.

Measured this morning the inducer-tube I received from Guru is 4 1/2 inches in length.
-
I called the Guru people and purchased an inducer-tube from them to fit the KK. It fits through the Guru port built in. It will fit a little loose in the bulkhead fitting. I used silicone on the inducer-tube to hold it solid. Talk to Fred or Bob at Guru they should be able to help you. The only problem I had was having to file a little of the plate to let the inducer-tube slide thru from the inside of the cooker. Hope this helps. Dave

I agree the top damper needs to be closed or only open a hair. Then the Guru can do it work. I have found the only time I use the Guru is for long over nights. The control of top damper and low and slow on draft door makes temp. control very easy.

Nice job. Looks great.

You really don't need anything extra. The KK comes with things that are extra at the other place. What comes in handy for me is the lower grill and the upper grill. (my upper grill is not nearly as nice as the new ones Dennis has made. I have one left over from my k

Welcome aboard. I agree with cruzmis you CANNOT go wrong buying a KK. I also owned both a k and a KK. The KK is by far the best cooker I have owned. A huge plus is dealing with a company that cares and answers your questions.

Well done. I did mine a little different. I brought the inducer-tube and used silicone sealant to hold is solid. I put the sealant on the tube and fed thru from the inside of the KK and stopped at the length I wanted sticking out.

Try slicing that and frying it on toast with tomato and thin sliced red onion, with a nice splash of hot sauce. It is a little bit of great.

Meat hanger Had one with my K. I used it twice. The rod that came with it was a very tight fit for a 12 lb turkey. Work fine for a chicken. For me it was a waste of money. I let it go with the #7 when I sold it. The upper or main grill works better for me than the meat hanger did.

That looks great. Your guest should be very happy.

Re: Support Question Welcome to the forum. You CANNOT go wrong by purchasing a KK. All of your question should be answered in Happy Campers and several of the other forum topics. Here are my answers. Yes arrived in timely manner. Dennis answered every question I ask in very fast time. I ordered my Deluxe OTB 05/17/06 and picked it up 08/04/06, it was held up in customs for about 2 weeks. You will not have any problems with the customer service from Komodo Kamado. Dennis does an excellent job and builds the best cooker I have ever used.

Looks great. Wait until you cook you will be a VERY HAPPY CAMPER.

Guru Port No that is the whole thing. You already have the bulkhead fitting, that came installed on your KK. The part you need is just the inducer-tube. It looks like tube behind the snap ring in the picture. It's stainless steel tube that fits through the bulkhead fitting. Call Fred at Guru and tell him you need the inducer-tube for a KK. Hope this helps. When you get the inducer-tube check the fitting and be sure to install the fan end to the out side of the KK. I had to install mine from the inside out after filing down the plate. Guru Port The KK comes with a Guru port that is plugged. When the plug is removed you need a inducer tube that fits into that opening. If I remember correctly is was about $20 plus shipping from the Guru company. I had the same problem unplugged the port and the Guru did not fit. Called Guru and they said I would need to inducer. If you check the price list iit states. "BBQ Guru faceplate (Guru-inducer tube ready."

Did you buy the sleeve from Fred for the Guru for the KK port? I had a little problem getting the sleeve through the port. The plate and the hole were very little off. I took a round file and filed the plate to let the sleeve slide thru the hole. Works great.
