  1. Nice looking fish. Lump is charred hardwood. Burns hot and most has little ash.
  2. Wal-Mart normally carries Royal Oak lump at about $5.27/10 lbs. Lump is much better than the Kingford squares and much less ash.
  3. Bobkat welcome aboard. You will not be sorry you purchased the best cooker. I have had the both the k pos and the KK. The KK is the best by several land slides.
  4. Thanks it has Koi and goldfish. My wife and I paid to have the pond dug due to our great clay soil. We did the rest of the work. We can sit on the desk and cook on the KK and enjoy the pond.

  9. I am sorry Dennis but I have discovered a flaw in the BEST COOKER IN THE WORLD. The good thing is I also found a way to fix the problem that is not to costly. The damper moves sooooooooooooooo easy that the Kansas winds catches the ears on the damper and move it closed. Attached is a picture of my way of solving the problem.

    Brining

I use a plastic bucket from the bakery from a grocery store that had cake frosting in it for brining. You can get a couple of sizes a 5 gallon and a smaller square one that hold one chicken very nicely. The best thing is the price FREE.

    Roti chicken

I did direct. Next time I will cook at a higher temp about 375. The skin was a little soft but the meat was very moist. I opened the cooker to take pictures and see how it was working the first time. Over all it was great. I may try a pork loin this weekend.

Used the Roti for the first time. A 5 1/2 lb chicken at 325 for a little over 2 hours. It was GREAT.
