  1. Thanks mate, i reused the rib racks bottle for the hoisin bbq sauce, but it’s definitely a great sauce, Justin has got lots of nice products.
  2. Hey Bruce, the hoisin bbq sauce is great on pork and chicken, it’s a Steven Raichlen recipe, he actually cooks it on project smoke on a KK Here’s the link that has the link to the rub and bbq sauce: https://barbecuebible.com/recipe/pork-belly-steamed-buns/
  3. Thanks MacKenzie, they were so good! The pork just melted in the mouth and the flavour between the rub and the bbq sauce is superb.
  4. Tonight’s dinner was Berkshire pork belly with home made bao buns and a hoisin based bbq sauce, these are quickly becoming a favourite!
  5. That’s awesome, very talented!
  6. Haha that must have been an interesting time for Bosco! I’m just hoping that whatever ship it lands up on is heading down to freo fairly soon!
  7. Awesome, thanks Tangles! It’s a shame it’s not meeting the vessel that’s bringing it to freo in Jakarta which is its next port of call, it’s save it having to go up to Singapore and then down again.
  8. Ok so my KK is onboard the CSCL Houston, making its way from Surabaya to Singapore. just waiting on an update once the team hears what the main vessel bringing it down from Singapore to Fremantle is.

    Very nice! That looks amazing.
  11. I've got word that the grill is in being fumigated as we speak and that it is shipping on Friday. These next two weeks are going to be a long wait
  12. Hopefully this is the week that the 32 ships!
  13. I can second how effective PBW is. I use it on all my brewing gear and bbq grates in my Kamado and it brings everything up spotless!

    Brisket

Hey Bonfire, get in on the monthly meat buy with Urban Griller, the prices are much better than on that website, brisket is around the $14 / kg mark and beef ribs around $12 / kg for cape grim. We use Cape Grim in all of our competition cooks, i absolutely love it!
  17. Those ribs look great! Vegemite also goes really well on a brisket, use it in place of the mustard / oil that you would usually apply first to make your rub stick to the meat. Like the mustard, the flavour cooks out during the long low n slow cook, but you are still left with some great umami undertones from it.
  18. I was wondering the same tangles? I suppose they are fairly similar to to the cocochar that Dennis sells in terms of form. I’d be keen to try these out for the low n slow cooks.
  19. Fantastic about taking two weeks, going on that it will hopefully arrive the week of the 11th
  20. Ah wow that all looks sensational amusedtodeath! You’re making me hungry, I’m sitting here after having drunk a fair bit of wine and just thinking about late night snacks!
  21. If that was my tortoise I’d give it a hand and stick a drawing pin on its head, give it a fighting chance lol
  22. Haha that’s awesome!! Definitely doesn’t like that cat.
  23. Awesome!!! That’s even better! Starting to get really excited now
  24. It’s being shipped on the 27th, did you say it took about 2 weeks to get to freo? Going in that timing the ship should land around the 11th July so fingers crossed I get it delivered the following week
  25. That sounds good, definitely worth trying if they’re local!
