  2. Yeah i was searching google and the KK forum came up Thought wow lets ask around in here. How do you like your small unit? Do you think the medium unit of the Konro would be a good size? i think the large one would just be over kill.
  3. @Gnomatic i think Dennis said he should have them ready very soon if not already. Maybe check the KK website and see if its up on there. But im placing an order for one once they are ready too. cant wait @DennisLinkletter did you say you almost have them ready to order?
  4. @kad1979 Sorry to drag up a very old thread, but i have been thinking of getting one of these Japanese grills. I love yukiniku and yakatori and i think one of these on top of a table while guests are over would be awesome. How have you found this grill since you have had it? would you buy it again and how is it still going many years down the track. Would love to hear an update on this. Cheers mate.
  5. damn @DennisLinkletter what a killer job mate!!! that cabinet looks amazing.

  8. Sounds like a plan. Ill try the hair dryer when i cook up some pizzas this week.
  9. cheers thanks @cschaaf. i light my grill with a blow torch BernzOMatic TS8000TK and it does the job nicely. But i am thinking once the coals are lit, i need to use like a hair dryer or some sort of fan to light up the coals more. Ill test out a few different ways and post back. Thanks mate
  10. @tony b there you go mate. You should be able to see who gave you a like/reputation.
  11. @tony b i can fix that for you. let me make a change to allow you to see the likes and who liked your post. Im sure its in the admin console.
  12. Awesome thanks @MacKenzie for all your help in testing. Let me explain what happened. With the security update we needed to apply to the site, the code that runs the front end of the forum is in PHP. The server version that is running this forum is a bit older and now has highlighted a problem. The solution is to upgrade the PHP on the server so this will not happen again with any more security updates. I will get onto this over the next few weeks as its a bit of an involved process to upgrade that component. The strange thing with this issue was that all administrator accounts were not affected, just everyone else. I am sorry for the issue, i will update my test plan to include a standard user to test with Thanks for all your help and being patient @MacKenzie, really appreciate it.
  13. Please try again. I think i have found and fixed the issue. Please post a reply and start a new topic. cheers
  14. Also would you mind clearing out your browsers cache, the forum theme/skin had to be updated as well. Thank you.
  15. Could you please start a new topic and see if that works?
  16. Hi @MacKenzie and @cschaaf, i am sorry for the inconvenience. This is very strange as i am able to post anywhere on the site with my PC. Could you explain the issue a little more please? I am able to post and reply. Is it just one section or the whole site? Is there an error when you post? Could you try flushing your browsers cache and reloading the site to see if that helps? I am sorry for the inconvenience, but can you help to outline the issue a bit more for me? Thank you
  17. Hi All, Just a quick update to let you know that the site has had important security patches applied to the IPS software this evening. Testing has been carried out, however if you notice any issues then please post in this thread. The theme has also had an update as well. Cheers.
  18. @wilburpan, when you try and get your grill up to searing temp of 500-600 (no heat soak) are you just lighting coals in a few places then using a blower or hair dryer to light all the coals quicker? I think thats what im not doing to get the 32 up to hot temp quickly. Im thinking i need to light 3 or 4 places with the blow torch, then get the air blower out to light up more coals quickly and that should get the searing temp up i think. Am i on the right track there?
  19. @bosco, mate i think you just solved my problem too. I have never opened the right hand dial just the left hand and the lump always burns to the left. Makes sense now. im going to try next time opening both sides and see how it burns. Thanks for the heads up.
  20. Welcome @Stile88 to the KK site and new soon to be KK owner. As you have heard above, there is some fantastic feedback from all of the owners above. You now have to decide on the size. I own the 32" and would not have it any other way. I have not owned any other KK sizes, however the 32" is perfect for me. The extra size on the grilling area is welcomed and if you have the space for it in your yard then i would be leaning to the biggest size you can afford. As has been said, this will be a grill you will pass down through generations as it is build like a "brick shit house" (so we say over here). The 32" is a versatile machine. I love the grilling area on it and the space it provides for large pieces of meat. I use mine for mainly slow cooking. So things like briskets, chickens and pork butts. I'm yet to get into the grilling side of things as my pellet smoker currently takes care of that job. Can i say again that this thing is built like a German tank! It is rock solid with holding temps (once heat soaked) and can do low and slow, grilling, smoking and hot and fast like pizzas. I wish you all the best with your purchase and cant wait to see some pics of the food your going to cook on your 32"
  21. Excellent, thanks for the update Rob. Glad to see we got to the bottom of the issue. cheers.
  22. They look delicious @MacKenzie I am guessing you make them from scratch?
