  1. unreal!!. that thing looks huge Dennis!!! I want one!!
  2. Excellent thanks for the update @HalfSmoke, I hope its fixed all the issues for the other members too.
  3. Hi All, The forum has just been updated with the latest forum skin version. I hope this update fixes the issues people were having with the site being slow on certain mobile devices. Would you guys who were having issues over the past few days please test out this new skin and post back if the issues have been fixed or are still present. Thank you.
  4. Hi All, I have noticed there is an update to the skin on the developers site today. I will install this over the next few hours. It states there is some updated for Java Scripts and especially on the mobile devices. Hopefully this fixed the slow loading issues. Ill update once i have had a chance to upload the new skin. Thanks for your patience on this.
  5. Looks excellent @HalfSmoke. Do you use an new wood plank each cook? or can you get a few cooks out of the one plank?
  6. Well spotted mate. That sub forum i have now collapsed into the new heading for that section. That sub forum was there just as a reminder to email Dennis your username for the forum as an owner to be admitted into the owners section. I though it would be better to delete the sub forum (as you couldn't post in there anyway) and just add it to the section heading. It used to say: Owner's Area Now it says: Owner's Area (New Owners please send Dennis your user name to be admitted) Makes the whole main page a little shorter in the browser and i thought it was a bit cleaner.
  7. Hi all, i have made a small change to the left hand side widgets. Would someone mind checking to see if that has helped the issue? Also does the issue present itself on every page or just the main page? Thanks.
  8. Thanks for all the time you have spent on trying to nut out the issue @wilburpan I really appreciate it. Thats helped to narrow it down. Does this only happen on the main page or throughout the whole forum? I cant seem to reproduce the same slowness issues you guys are seeing. As you can see from a few posts above i did test on a few different devices and i had no issues. I wonder now if its to do with the right hand side menu like you have advised about. It could be to do with the skin or to do with the forum upgrade. Ill post a support ticket on the IPS forums shortly and see if i can get some help on it as im stuck on this issue and dont have many more options for me to fix it from my side. We may have to wait on a new maintenance release of the forum software to see if that fixed up the slowness. All i can suggest for the moment is to go back to the old skin for the people who are affected. I am sorry about the pain here, just dont know what else to do for you guys that are affected. If i have another update ill write back.
  9. Thanks for the suggestion @Stile88 appreciate it mate. Yeah i dont think its exactly what the OP is after. Ill keep having a look and if you find a better addon (paid or free) please post back and ill discuss with dennis if its a paid addon and test it out. Cheers.
  10. Hi All, I have upgraded the Tapatalk plugin to the latest release today. Issues fixed since last release: - solved issue that cause unaproved topics can be showed to users. - solved issue that cause autofollow not working when posting from Tapatalk As usual please post a reply here if you have any issues with the plugin. Cheers
  11. Awesome job @bosco and the team. well done.
  12. Thanks for the replies here @ckreef and @HalfSmoke, @xraydoc there is no easy way to do this unfortunately. The best advice is what @ckreef has mentioned where you can subscribe to the thread. The issues there as he explains is the notifications. But if its a topic you are interested in maybe you want the notifications. Maybe test the idea out with a few active posts and see how it goes. Apart from that what @HalfSmoke has suggested is a valid idea too. If you dont have one note you can use evernote as well. This is just a bit more of a manual way and you have to actively visit the URL's from time to time to get an update (if required). One downside with this way is if the forum URL's slightly change then the bookmarked pages/URLs will not auto update and you may loose your reference. If you bookmark them someway through the site they will always be up to date. Thanks for the post, im sorry we dont have any better way for you.
  13. Cheers thanks for the reply @DennisLinkletter I thought it could be just cosmetic however i thought it was best to ask. Hearing from the replies i think it was a great chance to explain that to all the users here. Much appreciated as well are all the other suggestions too. Ill take the advice to colour it black with some soot/grunge. Simple ideas to fix issues. I like it. cheers.
  14. Hi All, are the issues still present today? Would you mind trying to clear your cache on the affected device to see if that may be a possible solution. Thanks.
  15. Thanks @KevinD. So just so i have it clean in my head, You are saying the older skin worked without issues even when you signed out and back in? Or once you signed out on the old skin and back in it was bad again? Trying to work out whether its the skin or the latest upgrade on the forum. Thanks mate.
  16. Hi All, I was using my rotti basket the other night and when i took the basket out (it was a bit tight as the steel had expanded a few mm during the cook, and it was super hot), i accidentally chipped around the edge of my KK. Its the black looking paint/sealant around the edge of the KK. I dont think it will harm or hurt the cooking on my KK and i have cooked on it since, however i was wondering do i need to get some more of the black lid sealant to fix up the hole? I will attach a pic of the issue below. I want to fix it up if required before it may get any worse. Also dose anyone know if we get something to fix it up with (if it needs to be) in the spare kit we get from @DennisLinkletter? Or what would be the best to repair it if i want to. Thank you.
  17. Thanks for the head up @cschaaf. Would you mind testing what i have posted in the thread above to the others about the theme. If it indeed a theme issue then i can roll back to the older one and see if thats better till the developer can get it fixed. Let me know and sorry for the inconvenience.
  18. Dude, that is awesome!! Thanks for all the pics during the unveiling. You are gunna love this thing to bits!! You will want a 2nd one thats for sure. I know i do Best of luck with it and cant wait to see all the pics of your cook ups posted here.
  19. Ok great thanks @HalfSmoke and @KevinD for the feedback. I have enabled the old skin for you to test with. Would you open up the site on your iPad and down the bottom of the screen (may be easier to see on your desktop first) you can find a section on the bottom right hand side that says "Theme". Can you select the older 4.1.11 theme, reload the page/tab and test for me? Also can you try chrome or something different to safari on your iPad please. Let me know. Thanks
  20. Killer job mate. i love cooking on the middle rack over the coals. I did a chicken this week like that and it was almost as good as a roti chicken without the cleanup
  21. Hi All, I have upgraded the forum skin to the latest this evening. There may be some small issues as the template contained quite a few changes as we have jumped up a number of versions. So please report if you think there is any issues with the skin. The main issue is the logo at the top which i will post a support ticked with the skin vendor. Hope to have that fixed soon. Cheers.
