  1. @Ed Id go with the pizza stone. love it and its the perfect size for your KK that your buying. Also i couldn't live without my double bottom drip pan. That is in my KK all the time. Easy for clean-up and just works well when its sitting on the deflector plates. Those 2 are the most commonly used in my KK. The roti basket with the reducers is also a great idea. Get the larger one with the smaller reducers inside it. Makes the roti basket heaps flexible. The basket splitter for me i personally have not used yet, so if money was tight, id swap that item for one of the ones i have mentioned above. Good luck with the choice.
  2. Thanks for the updates @DennisLinkletter. All the best with the surgery and a full recovery.
  3. @ckreef yeah the site was quite slow throughout the day. Maybe the host had some issues, but i noticed it on my side too. I guess you are spot on with the double posts where people think they have posted but the site is taking a bit of time to load. Ill have to dig through some of the server logs to see if i can pinpoint the issue. Thanks for raising it.
  4. Strange one there @Firemonkey. I have not uploaded or resized any pics from my mobile, i usually do it from the desktop site. Ill have to do some investigation and see if it happens to me. Ill post back if i have any updates.
  5. Can you try and clear your cache on your safari mobile browser? also can you try chrome on your iphone and see if that makes a difference. With the enter making a new paragraph, ill setup a poll shortly to see what everyone wants to do. Easiest way. Not sure what happened with the site this morning, however i had noticed the site was really slow throughout the day. Ill check on the server stats sometime today to see if the host had an issue. Seems to be ok now. @bosco did you try the fix i posted about the notifications you been receiving on tapatalk? did it help?
  6. wow @Firemonkey killer setup there mate!! I gotta get myself into gear and set something like that. Top job.
  7. wow thats an unreal find. As the others have said these are built like a tank and will be great to cook on for yourself. a bit of TLC and away you go. Looking forward to seeing the fixes and restoration. @DennisLinkletter may be able to answer the other questions you had.
  8. Thanks for the comments @cschaaf appreciate you posting some comments on how the upgrade has been. Glad to hear its all good from where you browse the forum from. Its not been without issue, but looks like we are close to ironing them all out. BTW, the double spacing issue, i can fix that. Currently (by default) the editor will enter a new paragraph when you hit enter and not just a new line. If you want a new line without a paragraph you need to use Shift + Enter I can change this default behaviour from the admin side of things. This will change it for all users unfortunately Let me run a poll and see what people want to have it set to.
  9. @Firemonkey No problems at all. I dont use tapatalk that much as i sit in front of a PC most of the day so i have access to the forum on a browser, however when im on the run Tapatalk is nice to use rather than all the forums being open in a chrome tab. If you dont want to use tapatalk, just use your web browser on your phone to open up the site and it will work quite nicely from there. Tapatalk just makes things really easy if you frequent multiple forums as they are then all in the same place. But yes there is ads throughout the whole list of topics and replies. I think with the notifications, thats how things are going these days. I really like the new ajax notifications that popup up while your on the site, and you should be able to fine tune your notifications to your liking (site notifications and emails) through your profile. Anyways, hopefully you have been energised to get back on the forum and post again
  10. Hi @Firemonkey Would you mind testing out tapatalk again and letting me know if you still have issues with the site replying and posting pics? The new 4.x upgrade (approx 5 weeks ago) should have made the whole experience much nicer than before. I can see you are following users as well, so maybe if you get too many notifications you can fine tune these too. I would also try and use the forum in say chrome or firefox on your mobile phone. The new site version has a really nice mobile theme that seems to work well if tapatalk is not your favourite app for forums.
  11. Ok Robert, i think i may have found the issue for you. (and possibly others). So in my tapatalk i dont seem to have the same issues that you guys have (i just checked my app). So i have checked your user account and what it looks like is you have followed certain members in your profile and your notification settings (which tapatalk uses to show you from the board) will notify you every time they post on the site. So Rob @5698k would you mind having a look at the first screenshot below that i have taken of your user account and you will see you have followed @tony b which is why you are getting the notifications. if you check the settings of those notifications you will see that you are being notified per post that @tony b replies at or posts a new topic. Some of these you have selected in 2015 or 2014 to follow. So the upgrade on the site probably just got this feature working for you and now that is why you are seeing all of these notifications. So to test this, can you un tick the notifications for these users and see what happens now with your notifications? If this doesn't work, then ill tick it off the troubleshooting list. @bosco looks like you have the same issue potentially. Attached screenshot. (2nd one) @ckreef maybe check your settings too please. Thank you
  12. Thanks for the post. Ill investigate and hopefully find out what the issue is. Thanks.
  13. Hi @Firemonkey, are you also seeing the same issue with the notifications via the tapatalk app as the others are? Thanks.
  14. Hi @bosco Just to be clear, i did not do the upgrade here, i have just been supporting Dennis in getting it running well and doing my best to iron out all the bugs. The old forum had to be upgraded as it ran out of support from IPS themselves. So unfortunately this upgrade had to happen at some stage. (Other similar forums will have to go through this upgrade process as well). I'm trying to get through all the issues here so the forum is back running as smooth as it was before the upgrade. It seems the tapatalk issue is the last one that is the main one to fix. Ill log a ticket with the info thats been posted here on their support site and see what they say. I'm not sure the upgrade should have stopped people from posting, maybe via the tapatalk app it has, but i think the forum itself from a PC browser (Chrome and Firefox) point of view is running flawlessly. I dont see any issues when accessing the site from my desktop browser, just seems to be Tapatalk. As always appreciate you guys being patient while the issues get fixed. Please bare with us while the issues are being worked on.
  15. Awesome job mate, looks good. Any other pics from the slicing?
  16. Ok thanks Rob. Looks like it was to do with the 4.x upgrade then. Can you screenshot what you are seeing from your mobile phone if possible? Please post the issue with an image here is thats easy for you to do. thanks.
  17. That was the upgrade to the actual plugin. The board got upgraded towards the end of Feb, that is the one i am more concerned about seeing if the issue was present before that upgrade. Any chance you remember if there were issue before that date?
  18. The upgrade was around the end of February (22nd to 24th or so). Do you think that the issues were happening before this date?
  19. Do you use tapatalk on other forums that are not on the older 3.x version? Do they have an issue? EG: Komado Guru is on the 3.x version? This forum is on the 4.x version. I wonder if the same issue is happening on the other forums who have been upgraded to 4.x.
  20. Hi Rob, Not sure this is in our control to fix. Ill have to submit a ticket to Tapatalk and see what they say. Just out of interest is this happening to anyone else on the forum?
  21. Awesome thanks for the update @DennisLinkletter. Hope they can find the correct materials and looking forward to seeing a prototype.
  22. Just a quick update to let you know that the Social buttons now work on the top of the forum. I have linked as many social sites that Komodo Kamado are on that i know of. @DennisLinkletter let me know if you have any other social buttons you want up here and ill make it happen. Also let me know if the order of them should change. Let me know if anyone notices any issues with them. Cheers.
  23. Hi @DennisLinkletter, I cant seem to find the thread where you mentioned this so i have started up a new one. You made a reply in a previous thread that you may be planning to get the factory to create a straight skewer that we could use in our KK's that would allow us to use the square accessories out there on the market (like baskets and prongs) so that we can turn meat in our KK's without having the basket. While i love the basket, sometimes it would be nice to quickly skewer a few chickens and load them into the KK. Nice and quick clean up as well. Plus there is loads of accessories out there that we could take advantage of. With the cold smoker coming along nicely, i will be placing another order with you and would like to see a straight skewer as an option for my KK to purchase. What do you think? Would this be possible? Thank you.
  24. @wilburpan Well it looks like from some further reading that there will be no way to bring this feature back for you. Here is the info i found. BBCodeThough no features in IPS4 insert BBCode-style tags into the editor (like is currently done for attachments, etc.) users can still type BBCode into the editor and it will work fine. We've rewritten how BBCode is parsed to be much more secure and reliable and produce more standards-compliant HTML (for those who are interested, it parses the post content into a DOM Document and examines only the text nodes for BBCode tags, then either splits the nodes surrounding it and inserts one for block-level elements, or wraps all subsequent text nodes in the appropriate formatting element until the end BBCode is found). The benefit to this is that there now no longer needs to be a "BBCode mode" - you can type BBCode straight into the editor, even complicated stuff like lists spanning multiple lines, and it comes out looking great. The downside to this approach is that custom BBCodes can no longer be added through the Admin CP. However, as mentioned above, we now have the ability to add custom buttons to the editor which work in a much more intuitive way, and can do everything that custom BBCodes could and more. For those who really want to be able to add the ability for custom BBCode, we've isolated the method that returns the supported BBCode (and information needed to parse them) into a specific method so that custom BBCode can be added with a very simple hook specific to that purpose. https://invisionpower.com/news/9539-ips-40-editor-part-3-customisation-and-bbcode/ This would be global across all v4+ IP Boards (which everyone will have to upgrade to eventually anyways). Since 3.4.x support is just about run and done, most boards will have to move to 4.1+ over the next 6-12 months. Still if i find a hook or add-on i can add ill look into it for you. cheers.
